With the recent sale on gw2 I’ve concluded that you should spend the money you’d normally spend on gems on another account for the game instead.

$10 = 800 gems = 80 – 90g

$10 for a new account gives you 50 laurels/month ujust for logging in on that account everyday. With the laurels you buy heavy crafting bags. These contain 3 T6 crafting mats which sell anywhere from 30-60 silver each so you are guaranteed at least 1 gold/laurel. Within two months you will have gained more gold then you could have bought with gems and everything after is just gravy.

you get 55 laurels per month actually

which equals ~65g per month

means after 2 months you got more gold than you would have for buying gems
and you also have a free second account then

that still will net you 65g FREE every month

BUY 10 ACCOUNTS AND GET 650g/MONTH!
MEANS YOU GET 7800g/YEAR

Thank you for the correction on the laurels. Also after two months who gives a ____ if they do change it, by that time I’d say you’ve more then recouped your costs and are left with a spare account.

Additionally, although your suggestion for 10 accounts seems sarcastic it sounds very valid to me if you were going to buy 8000 gems today to rather buy 10 accounts. After 2 months the gravy would have to be hauled in by the truckloads lol.

but after more than 3 accounts total… it might be a bit annoying to log into everyone of them everyday and type in a different e-mail everytime…^^

but it is definitly worth it to buy 1-2 extra accounts

for the gold alone already
and you have another account… which you can use to troll friends and guild by acting dumb …

like make a new account with new names… try to join the same PvE guild that you represent with your main account
ask them to show you dungeons because “you are new” ^^

and DO ALL OF THE POSSIBLE MISTAKES!
—> push enemies out of AOE
—> link cleric gear
or link condi stats on full melee weapons… xD
—> use mega weapon combinations… like double mace & hammer on warrior
—> do NOT stack in the corner
—> use a longbow all the time… and if someone tells you that longbow is not good for dungeons… tell him you are legolas so you have to use longbow!
he has to understand that ofc!

have fun seeing the reactions… and the supressed anger of your friends… who try to act patient while you KNOW they are not hahaha:D

if that are people who would often buy gems for gold usually

and then only spend 100 euro ONCE
and then get free gold every month from their accounts

then Anet actually makes a loss!
