It’s not in the inven of the character that had it before, can’t seem to find it anywhere… what happened it? o.O

I am having the same issue. Im looking on the character I know had it but its isnt in vault or inventory or in outfit section of wardrobe.

To convert your town clothes to the new system, you want to go to the black lion armor trader npc and ask to do so. They hang out next to the auction house guys in the major cities.

You’ll have to do that for each character!

What Lheimroo said. It is also the only way to get back whatever you had on your character pre-patch.
