Can we get a teleport to commander?
It is supposed to be hard to get around the mapp in wvw. Its a battle for territory. If you had easy access to the entire map it would be an endless respawn and run back to the battle.
Sorry you are going to just have to be more sneaky and take the paths less traveled to get to your group or wait for then to return to base. That is the price of death in wvw. You cant just have a unit that poops its own army at all times because you find it inconvient to travel.

Tiffany and a few others already said it best. This is a silly idea born from lack of knowledge of the game type.

Just learn to run solo and build some confidence. Trust me you don’t lose much of anything in doing so and will actually become a better player as you’ll have to develop your own way of reading the map, scouting and fighting.
I don’t know if http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Teleport_to_Friend works in WvW. I ended up getting one of these, maybe I’ll try it out.
If it works, then you’d just need to drop 1000s of gold on gems to get keys and you’d be able to port your zerg around (albeit slowly) for a few days at least.
I’m guessing it won’t actually work though.

Probably not (sorry edited my post twice after posting that sentence). But WvW is technically PvE, what with all the raptors, wolves, and griffons everywhere.

So, basically, what you’re saying is you’d like a way to completely prevent armies from pushing each other out of the field, remove the already extremely slim incentive for actually holding any given position in WvW, and generally add to the Zerg vs Door problem that Anet themselves have realized destroys the fun of the game mode, and are actively changing in the expansion?

This would never happen, but if anything, the commander must be out of combat, and can only port in 1 person every 5 seconds.

Curious to see that myself, though I believe Anet has already thought ahead and disallowed its use in WvW maps. Seeing as the OP’s idea would essentially break a part of the core WvW challenge and mechanics, I doubt this would be useable in the game mode.

It would break the game like an egg. I could tag up and have the entire map port to me and lag out the enemy or vice versa. Also…. Mesmer tag instant keep ports.
