The concept of the Lieutenant is great, but if the Lieutenant is to lead a sub-squad group, it would be nice to know where the Lieutenant is. Naturally you would need to distinguish between the squad commander and the lieutenant, so, what about putting a number on the tag, maybe even with a slightly different shape, but the same color as the commander.
There is a separate tag for the mentor, now please make one for the lieutenants!!

Thanks

You can place marks over the Lieutenant’s heads using the new squad markers – which make great lieutenant tags. Go to the options panel and keybinds and it will show you which keys to use.

Only drawback is, since there are now eight potential markers (which is AWESOME!), a squad leader can get a little silly with it if you aren’t careful (this is where I plead the fifth ).

I really don’t think that placing marks over a lieutenant is the way to go. The lieutenant is not an object or location, and I think to assume so demeans the lieutenant position. This shouldn’t be that difficult!

It seems like a no-brainer to me – the squad UI even has a distinct lieutenant’s icon for those you designate as such. Making it visible on the minimap or over the character’s head would make them easy for people to notice.

I do want to add one suggestion, however: Lieutenant tags should be visible only to the squad members. The whole squad, not jsut their subsquad (although a means to distinguish one’s own lieutenant from others might be a good idea – if it is feasible). But the whole squad should be able to know, so they can coordinate. Other squads should trust each commander to coordinate their own people, which is why only one’s own squad’s lieutenants should be seen.

Just my two cents. The core idea is a good one, though.

Also, nice to see a familiar name, Blaeys. I remember you from the Scarlet Invasions.
