I know the pants come from the living story (which I haven’t played), but the other pieces can be picked up playing in the Silverwastes. The coat is an RNG drop, the rest is purchased with bandit crests.

Chapter 5 has 3 parts — did you complete all three? As far as I know, the rewards haven’t changed (it would actually be a lot of effort for ANet to do this).

The Carapace Shoulder Box is a reward for completing Hidden Arcana , the last story instance of chapter 5 (Echoes of the Past). If you have finished that chapter (actively, just joining another player without being on the right story step yourself doesn’t count) and didn’t get the box you should open a support ticket.

That’s not the living story. You’re currently doing the Personal Story. Living Story (specifically Season 2) is the story that happens after GW2 PS and before HoT PS. You have to buy the Living Story Season 2 episodes on the gem store now to play through them.

With some farming in the silverwastes, you can get all of the armor pieces in a relatively short amount of time. People still run the map which is cool, just check into the lfg and there ya go.

You always get one coat when you do Vinewrath the first time. The others are RNG and only available from Vinewrath.

You always get one coat when you do Vinewrath the first time. The others are RNG and only available from Vinewrath.
You can also purchase the other pieces from a vendor in the first area of SW. The boots aren’t available on the vendor until you do the defending the skritt ambassador thing. But yea the coat box is always the reward for the first time you beat vinewrath and then after that you get a random box.

Shoulder

- Rare drop from champions in SW.
Gloves
- Episode 6, one time only and PvP SW reward track, one time only.
- 1000 crests & 1 gold.
- Rare drop from ‘lost bandit chests’ and ‘greater nightmare pod’.
Boots
- After completing ’ambassador’s aid’ achievement, 1000 crests & 1 gold.
- Rare drop from ‘lost bandit chests’.
Leggings
- Episode 7, repeatable on different characters.
- 1000 crests & 1 gold.
Helm
- Episode 8, repeatable on different characters.
- 1000 crests & 1 gold.
Chest
- First kill of ‘mordrem vinewrath’.
- Rare(ish) drop from chest after killing the ‘mordrem vinewrath’ (Drop rates vary greatly but looks to be ~20%).
If you want the complete set for the bioluminescense achievement (or just in general) I would advise the following:
- get as many of the pieces from repeated story missions as possible
- the 1,000 crests % 1 gold require you to “unlock” the item first (means get it once at least as far as I remember)
- you’ll get the chest pieces long before completing the body parts for the bioluminescense achieve, otherwise just run VW
- hold off on getting the boots and glovse until they are literally the last items you need. You never know if you might get lucky from a bandit chest.
