Guild Wars 2

First, we got Celestial recipes…in Factions we used to have Celestial weapons…

Now, we have the Zodiac weapon skins…They are based on the old Zodiac weapons that only dropped also only in Factions, elite missions: “Urgoz’s Warren” and “The Deep”.

Can this be viewed as a good sign to a possible future Cantha in GW2!?
Or are they giving us this kind of “Gifts” just to make us kinda “happy & quiet”, knowing that Cantha will never be done?

How can we interpret this decisions about introduce some Canthan lore in the game atm?

If it’s true that they had some " Cultural Asiatic problems" how can we explain atm a full set of new Zodiac skins, mostly based on the Chinese Zodiac?

All this just to “please” Chinese players, as they are launching the game there?
I’m seriously confused…

What you guys think of all this??

IMHO, and all problems apart…: Cantha for ever!!:)

Who knows, when it launches in china and they hear about cantha … maybe there will be a few million more customers saying “we want an asian themed area!”.
Or something like to that effect.

There’s nothing wrong with an asian themed area.

Well, I only phrased it “asian themed” because apparently the upper lobby at NCsoft had a problem with mixing/blending different cultural styles together – thus I would go so far as to say it will very likely not come back as in the few preview screenshots we’ve seen.

What i’ve read about that(no idea when and where),but i read a post that some actual Anet “VIP” (also no idea who it was) but said that they were actually going to release cantha either 1 year ago when the game oficially released or somewhere near the introductions of living storys, but then someone that used to worked in Anet got offended because like you said they “had a problem with mixing/blending different cultural styles together” soo they had to cancel because that asian guy was wanting some serious troubles of some kind..

Starts at 1:44 and ~20 seconds. Anyways, apparently the chinese market is huge and it could potentially tip the favour towards attempting it again. Who knows.

I’m just glad I got a cross between my favorite Rhino’s Charge from GW1 and the zodiac weapons.
