I wanted to ask if there has been any more information regarding character name changes, and if/when they’ll be implemented. I remember hearing about them being added to the database a while ago and possibly being added to cash shop.

I also wanted to ask this, I’d be happy to pay gems to change my character names. Also, will we ever be able to change our account names for forum and guildwars2.com ?

Yes, ArenaNet saying they have no ETA on this is kind of lame now. Complete makeovers are already in the game and you’ve got characters changing sex but stuck with their old name, at the same time we know that due to name policy ArenaNet can force name changes, so how come there’s such a big issue launching this item in the Gem Store?

For one considering multiple total makeovers and a new “concept” for my family of characters, I’m really missing the name change option now. Please up the priority on this ArenaNet!

Yes, glad to see others also want this too. I’m sure many players want it, and would be willing to pay gems, so hopefully soon.

I too desire more information on this. Or at least having it added to the total makeover so it can actually be “total.” Paying separately for a name change would just be extortion.

While I also would like a name change purchasable through the Gem Store, it seems to me it could be a little more complicated or time consuming for A.net to change a name if it is related to any file names under which they store and update your characters information. So if tons of people opted for name changes at once, it could tend to be a bit of an undertaking for the staff.
Purely speculation though.
