So I pre-ordered GW2 and then played at least 150 hours during the (3 or 5? cant remember) day headstart and then during the release weekend and just got completely burnt out by overplaying the game. Haven’t really touched the game since then. What has changed about the game since then?

You will get people that will say nothing at all. But a lot has changed, best bet is to read through the link below. Besides that just play the game, treat it as a new thing and just experience everything. No real reason to think about what has changed since you left.

They cut down a forest, blew up a tower and black-end the sky with poison.
the released a boss so hard it takes 150 people perfectly synched to complete and means we now have a title so prestigious you can’t help but go legend when you see someone with it.
we elected a mayor.
They introduced a main villain who we started to think may not be all evil then she blew up a city… and its now in ruin….

How does Treahern change a light bulb?

game play pretty much the same. if you want ascended, be prepared to grind A LOT. Don’t overdo yourself, or you will get burnt out again.
