Guild Wars 2

I didn’t see it in the feature pack so I figured I’d ask. Will we still have to guest to the server where the guild missions is activated to get credit(guild commendations)? Or can we stay on our home server even though our Guild Mission was activated on another server?

Can someone give me some clarification about the global guild thing? In fact this is something I’ve been waiting for since they said they’re working on it earlier this year and what I’ve read pleases me a lot.
The only thing I’m not sure after reading the anouncment ist- will I now be able to participate in Guild Missions without having to Guest on the world where the missions were build (hope I won’t have to anymore) and will I now be able to actually see the objectives in the respective guild menu?

Yea I hope they answer. I know this topic isn’t as kittenome of the other things, but it’d be nice to get some clarification on it before season 2 when people will be transferring.

Posting because I would like an answer to this as well. In previous guilds this has been a weekly issue where there’s always 1-2 people that forget to guest despite being told 100 times. It’s easy to forget.

Not only that, even if you remember to guest, if you like to participate in a Guild Trek you’re left out in the cold neither seeing the targets nor being able to activate them after some1 told you where to go

I’m fairly certain this will be fixed with the guild changes.

To be honest the guesting thing SHOULD be changed, we just don’t have confirmation.

Same question came up in the german forums. Though there was a response from Ramon Domke (german community manager), it’s not really satisfying:

[…]Es ist unsere Absicht, dass alle Teilnehmer an den Missionen gleichermaßen belohnt werden.

Translation: “We aim for everyone being rewarded for participating on guild missions.”
So I guess it’s intended the way we think it should work, but sounds somewhat unsure to me
Still would love to read a clear official statement on how guild missions will work after 09/09

I can confirm that commendations are received without guesting while doing guild missions representing a guild whose home is on another server.

I received my commendations after doing guild missions and the guild’s home server was different from mine. It works like it should and I appreciate not having to guest!

What about Guild Trek? Does this work now, too?
