Daily insanity?
I have found that the beginning charr area is insanely easy to get most of the dailies. The DE’s go off all over the place, and some are 2 for 1 deals like the devourer eggs. There are lots of things to harvest, dead charr all over the place to rez, loads of different enemies to fight, veterens that I can solo that respawn very quickly, grawls to dodge in groups, water, etc, etc. I useally do all of them in just that one area, and end up with loads of materials, and useally 4 or 5 dyes from the fire legion charr bags.
I was looking forward to having more choices for doing the dailies, so feel rather let down by the silly additions like Keg Brawl and Mystic Forge, and the disappearance of the five regular events – there aren’t many group events around, after all. And after this time, with five slots there aren’t many more story progressions to go, will I have to ration myself to one a day to make things last…?
Regular events are rather killed by the current choices, if they don’t count towards dailies. Poor Guard Barthol will wonder why nobody talks to him any more, and boy will Mona come up with some ripe language if nobody wants to escort her and her pack bull to Claypool!
I don’t get why ppl are going off the handle on this. I mean sure I can be counted as one of the ppl who didn’t really care about getting the original daily done before January hit but once it did and we got the tracker I was like heck yah lets do this. Once I learned the simplest spots I got them done in less than an hour. Then I heard about them becoming a list to choose from and was waiting to see how that played out and I have to say that it’s just as good as January if not better. Going from someone who never cared about the daily to loving them I can say Anet did a great job. As for the rest of you I say Oivay!
Just goes to show you, people will literally complain about anything!
Love the changes Anet, I can get my daily done without going out of my way at all now. At least the play your way fanatics will finally have to shut up.
I was disheartened to see many options that are either terrible (PvP/fractals*) or unfeasible (skill points/personal story when you’ve already completed both).
On skill points … so, you’ve done 100% map — no skill challenges left … you still accumulate skill points by leveling (even after hitting 80). Granted, getting three that way takes longer than 15 minutes, but still doable if you have the time. So, only “not feasible” if you don’t have time. There are ways to speed that up to (events, dungeons net 177k exp per path).
