Did ANet block daily's list on Wiki?
Yup – the page vanished.
I logged onto an alt account that’s not to high.
- Ascalon Vista Viewer
- Metrica Province Event Completer
These two seem to be the lowbie ones.
I kind of expected this.
Both the GW2 and GW1 wikis have been down a lot today. There was some sort of maintenance and they’ve been pretty buggy since.

Yes, I noticed this also – lots of 503 errors and page format problems. It may be because of that too. Still it’s funny the list disappears right as the dailies thing is pointed out. Almost as if they want to keep it hidden.
Anyone else not able to see the current dailies list on the wiki?
As was reported on reddit and on these forums, people are able to get credit for lowbie “hidden” dailies on max accounts – presumably a bug.
I went to the wiki to see the dailies and noticed the list is gone.
Did ANet block this?
Anet takes a very clear, hands-off approach to the wiki. Anet has also made the information on dailies publicly available for a long time. Go ahead and see for yourself .
The widgets on the wiki are not working after the update, so that article page cannot load the information properly.

It was broken for most of ‘yesterday’.
What happened was that the wiki was upgraded to the most current version of the MediaWiki software (that powers just about all major wikis). A lot of the special features of the GW2 wiki were broken (long story short: it appears that some stuff was kludged in mediawiki; the devs fixed that, but the work-arounds employed by the wiki no longer had anything to work around and were accidentally disabled).
The wiki gurus scrambled to fix as much as they could as quickly as possible and largely succeeded. There remain a few notable issues (problems with pages for items using a “+” in their name) but most of the stuff seems to be working again.
(side note: this is a great example how good and/or important changes can break good and/or important features)
tl;dr a backbone upgrade to the GW2 wiki broke some GW2 wiki features, including automatic display of the dailies. Wiki gurus fixed this before a lot of folks noticed. (This had nothing to do with ANet caring — or not caring — about whether accounts with L80 toons can also complete the so-called baby dailies.)
Someone, somehow, got it working last night. I think there were issues with the wiki pages’ (everything including) API readers. Seems to be working now.
So, no, wasn’t some vile plot to block the wiki. :P

There was an incredible amount of problem solving done by some very dedicated community members. I was going to list them all, but then I feared I’d miss one or two (especially as not all contributions are overt edits).

Absolutely. And while the wiki is complex, it is no where near the complexity of the game! Take note all of you who claim that some updates should be “simple”.
