Q:
Do Wyverns exist in the Guild Wars Universe?
For that word to exist in the gw universe there had to have been a precedent – either someone telling a story made up the word (myth) or it actually existed and is now extinct (horses).
I don’t recall there being any mention of Wyverns anywhere at all in Guild Wars 1…

Wyvrn is an armor skin for Warriors in GW1

This skin is shared with Rocktail’s Stinger, a green drop from a warrior boss in Eye of the North.
“Obtaining a legendary should be done through legendary feats…
Not luck and credit cards.”
Welp, I stand corrected, there are mentions of Wyverns I suppose. Although I’m fairly sure there’s nothing that actually refers to a Wyvern as an actual existing creature in GW1….
No, there wasn’t… only the dormant dragons which could often be seen in/under the GW1 landscape.

Much like Wyverns in the real world. Or unicorns.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
Yes. One can find mini wyvern creatures all over Tyria. They are called bats by the natives. Take a close look at these common ‘bats’ they are small, dragon like, wyverns. They are not the terrestrial bats we know in real life.
I believe they are leftovers from a primordial age of dragons that spawned the Elder Dragons. I would assume the rise of the Elder Dragons ended most other dragon species. Hence, the all the dragon corpses that Zaitan has at his disposal.
Old post but I just saw something that really seems like a wyvern statue on Mount Gnashington, Brisban Wildlands. It was close by “Help the Skritt experimenting in Skrittsburgh Tunnels” <3 Quest. If you’re interested I might search screenshot for it later.
Well, the humans are not originally from Tyria.
If they can have Aatxe, which is a mythical creature specific to the Basque region of Spain, I’m sure Wyverns are possible!
Not to mention the Rhongomyniad which should have no place at all in GW2 lore, but does.
Well, “wyverns” themselves do not appear in the game as a creature – although references are made to them. Saltspray dragons (which shares the same model as Kuunavang) also look like wyverns, I imagine whether or not they’re wyverns or not is a debate of semantics unless anyone who knows more about fantasy would like to clarify.
