Guild Wars 2

I’m new to GW2 and only have one character at lvl 60. I started on Anvil Rock ankitten ow looking to find a guild. Normally, i would just go to the server forum and look for a guild but I keep hearing something about a “mega-server” which is a bit confusing.

When i look on the guild recruitment forums, does the server matter or can i just join any guild because they merged all the servers into one mega-server?

The server only matter when you’re interested in playing WvW. With the megaserver, PvE play can be done across servers and map instances are not separated by servers. Even guilds and their upgrades are accessible to all members across all servers within their region (NA, EU, and China).

You can join any guild. As stated it only matters in WvW. If you are looking for companions to journey thru Tyria with. If you have voice capability such as Teamspeak or Ventrlo Even raid call. So guilds are looking for numbers . If you would like information on my guild msg me.

As a suggestion, join a guild on your server even if you aren’t currently interested in WvW. You should have no problem finding an active guild on AR and you won’t be left out if your guild decides to do WvW. Also, if you later want to do WvW, you’ll be without your guild.
