I want to be able to craft a precursor. Not interested in spending a stupid amount of gold for a precursor by someone who loves manipulating TP prices. Had enough of the fact TP prices are controlled by a select few on certain items of interest.
I mean the cost of a precursor which is based on pure dumb luck? No effort was made in crafting that precursor, yet it costs a fortune. I am aware it is an incredibly rare item, but the amount of gold needed is just too high.

I hope by the time I am ready to craft my legendary, that precursors are able to be crafted.

I also agree that a legendary and precursor weapon, should be account bound once crafting of precursors happen. Get rid of all precursors on TP and return to owners, as well as doing the same for legendary weapons. That will solve everything about the price of all mats as well to some degree.

I like the economy in GW2, I think it is well thought out, but some items on the TP should not be there.

You seem to be playing as if doing a chore.

Betting on that 1in5000 drop is a real chore, boring and mindless. If you enjoy that then good for you, even if they add other methods of acquiring the precursors you can still do it that way. But those who hate chores can do it in another way so everyone is happy.

There is also another option. Since they can’t exactly remove precursors/legendaries from the TP now after all this time, they can maybe make all Crafted Precursors account bound. How about that?

Building a legendary weapon was supposed to be a journey. Something you underwent, traversed, pushed through and at the end of it all you would have this awesome weapon that you had worked for all this time.

Sadly while there is still a lot of work that goes into making a legendary it is mostly grind work.
When I made mine I BOUGHT maybe 80% of what I needed off the TP.

Where’s the legendary feat there? I placed buy orders and waited. So epic.

Precursor crafting should be in the game – but not like ascended crafting is.
Materials should be non-tradeable and a more gift-like and less weapon like crafting system would be great.
Make it so a precursor is made out of various things we put in the forge ( with no RNG – just like how you make gifts for legendaries).

If here they fall they shall live on when ever you cry “For Ascalon!”

You seem to be playing as if doing a chore. “In two weeks I’ll get my precursor, and then I have yet to see what to do next and if I’ll even bother with this business”. Then you’ll realize it’s boring and quit. Luck, face it, spices things up. In your case, for the worse, but nevertheless, it spices things up. It keeps you on your toes, and you might even rage-quit, but then you might come back a month later and try your luck again. Or completely abandon this legendary item business, and do something else you find appealing. But you never know when you’ll get the 1-in-5000 rate drop.

Seriously, I’m over and out. It’s drained me.

Did anyone order a killjoy?

Precursor crafting has been one thing this game has been missing and is sorely in need of, to make that certain item of such value and importance more real for a great deal of us.

Why does it make it “more real” when you have zero idea as to how long or how expensive said crafting will be? Especially when the price of mats involved in crafting is not fixed but fluctuating.

Are there really people who believe a legendary should not be earned? But completely given by chance?
