any idea why i have this problem when switching to a different chat system like from normal to map chat, my game crashes, also sometimes when i type something in the chat my game just freezes and crashes

I have the exact same problem and this seems to be a rare one. Although i am quite addicted and have reached level 80 yesterday, i have only typed about 5 words during my entire playtime because of these crashes. help.

i am now doing this: .exe’’ -repair

same here, i have not spoken to anyone except for friend wich i talk on via skype, but i can´t contact with any players ingame or my game crashes, had any luck with the exe repair?

it´s frustrating because i want to tell people how bad they are but i can’t.. i tried positive comments but they also crash the client.

the exe repair did not help.

i’m getting realy realy angry, i cant play normal like this, and we don’t even get an awnser, this makes me wanna stop playing. i hope we get help soon cause it doesnt even feel like a multiplayer game anymore if you can’t even communicate with anyone

try to start gw2.exe with -dx9single parameter

the chat freezing bug is known bug for Linux people who are playing this on Wine.
but maybe this parameter helps some people with Windows also.

this flag basically switches off GPU multithreading..so expect a lower performance.

Having the same issue since launch, its getting pretty frustrating. Like playing russian roulette with your keyboard. I don’t know anything about a crash log, can I find it somewhere?

im getting no log at all, it just freezes, and it will still be frozen at the end of the day
