Trust me I am the loudest and most annoying person posting on these forums when I see an injustice about something but I really don’t see this being a problem. Sure some items drop 0 I’ve not had huge numbers of salvages drop nothing out of 20 I only had 2 drops of 0 recently and I’ve got the single worst luck then the lot of you on anything lootwise.

It’s true that Anet probably doesn’t control their economy but I’m resolved to wait until they do their rewards revamp patch to pass judgement. It could be that we’ll see some great solutions to our problems coming up. I’m stuggling with waiting too believe me but we do have to wait and see, don’t we?

It is actually quite simple. If you think there has been a eco nerf all you need to do is supply the following information:

1. Level/Range of items salvaging.
2. Type of Kit used.
3. Rarity used.
4. Ecto’s received.

Until ALL that information is supplied reserve all judgement. Due to the numbers in this thread so far and information given I am going to have to agree that nothing has changed and everything is normal.

85 Master kit salvages since the patch that “fixed” the issue, and my current average is 0.858823529 ectos per salvage according to my spreadsheet. A bit above the average right now, but probably due to the rather small sample size. By the date labels, my average for post-Dragon Bash patch are sitting at exactly 1 ecto per salvage (round number? CoNsPiRaCy!11!). Granted that’s only 29 salvages and really looks like a lucky streak, so I’m waiting for the 0’s to hit lol. All the items were L76-80 rares dropped from boss events, bonus chests, and fractals.

Small sample size, but I’m definitely not seeing any bugs in the salvage rates.

I noticed the same issue. Salvaged 100 rare lvl 78 up weapons, got around 40 ectos. I do believe they didn’t change it but can this be a bug? Can you check?

The question was already answered, and no, the devs aren’t going to waste their time combing the code every time RNG burps.

Yesterday I got some 20 Ectos out of just 9 rares. Awesome luck! Just…awesome!

Black Lion. Have had quite a few stacks from daily bonuses (yay!) as well as one from a chest that an alt got a key for. Masters is a less chance every time I use it at about 1/3rd less Ectos compared to Black Lion ones.

250,000 is a valid sample size, scientifically, come back when you’ve tested that many times.
