Main reason is because there is almost no decent pants for heavy male human.

Good or bad is very personal and subjective.

I agree that most human male heavy legging looks bad to me, but there are a few good looking one.

Arah legging to be my personal favorite

Caraprice legging is okay too

Dragonic legging is a sub before arah and caraprice unlocked

Ornate legging is also good looking, my guild is small without guild hall, and i don’t bother to join one just to acquire the skin, so it is beyond reach for me right now.

Indeed it is subjective. But on that note I do think human heavy male has the best looking armour sets in the game. Medium wishes they had the variety of heavy.

kitten please, I expected some good looking ARMOR when I purchased Phalanx for my female revenant (only checked the looks on my male warrior before that) and got some pieces of metal brassiere instead. And I actually liked the looks of male version.

Main reason is you don’t like them! There are some heavy pieces I’ve seen for males that are decent, especially the cultural one that Logan wears. I have female heavy human though myself, and in my opinion there are more heavy armour choices for female than there are male for my personal taste.

I disagree. They’ve got a lot of pants that I really like.

To be honest, GW2’s armor design isn’t… the best that is out there. It has quite a lot of gorgeous female scholar sets, but everything else suffers from a lot of problems, like lack of variety, ridiculous designs, unnecessary details, lack of theme, oversized parts, etc.

You see some nice exceptions, especially in regards to story characters that are heavily marketable outside of the game (logan’s armor, rytlock’s revenant armor), but your average in-game set is horrible (bladed, leyline, ec).

What’s the point of an expansion offering new armor sets, if those are so ugly that they could very well not exist?

You think they look bad, I think they are probably some of the best looking sets, each to there own.

Yeah, the male heavy is annoying, nothing but skirts and bulky garbage. Not that female heavy is much better, aside from the aether set which has the best pants in the game for any weight class.

Imho I also hate that especially human character faces are all so much alike.

It’s not pants, but I think it looks pretty good.

Try running as a female character. You don’t don’t wear any pants.

If you don’t mind looking the Logan wannabe, T3 cultural heavy is actually a good looking set. My misanthropy goes far beyond the armor. The picture I have in my head is my guardian taking a dump when activating Empower. All the human animations character appearance, and character navigation are subsumed under that one ability.
