I don’t know if anyone has realized this but ONE of these costs 250 gems which is about 16-17g maybe more. There is no point in buying these because the rune you want out you can just replace and get the one already on it AND still have 8-12g left over. Why does it cost that much to buy just one of these? There is really no single reason to buy these unless you are drunk or on acid. They should be 5 for 250 gems then it will be worth 250 gems.

I was shocked just like u are, a good rune its 6 – 10 gold max and the extractor its 16-17g as u said. This must be a joke or smthing.

We can just ignore it ofc, but its dissapointing to see they keep adding stuff that DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.

I believe it’s priced as such because they’d likely be used to remove infusions from ascended equipment. Especially for those that use Agony Resist +10 and higher infusions, you’d be saving a lot of gold. Those that also want to save their time-gated laurels by not destroying their current infusions will find them helpful as well.

Definitely don’t use them for standard superior runes.

Still much cheaper than buying 2 +10 agony resist Infusions in order to upgrade them (or to buy a single +11 for that matter)

I’m not saying that I don’t agree with you, but a +10 Agony Infusion worth over 100g makes the extractor worth it. I’d definitely like to see a lower price, but ArenaNet knows exactly what they’re doing with the price it’s at.

thread was directed toward sigil/rune use. As it seems these arnt ment for that.

250 gems is about 3 euros. It is not much if the thing you want out is really important.
Stop judging the cash shop items with in-game gold. This is just a system they added to combat gold seller sites and in the same time to give the impression that everyone can get what is in the cash shop.

Even if they would sell infusions or other stat related items, even legendary armors and such in the shop, they can\t be accused of making GW2 a pay to win because “everyone can farm the gold and afford all the things” get it?
