FPS issue...
Depends on where I am. In Lions Arch my FPS plummits, in Queensdale during DEs it drops but in other zones not associated with the event my FPS is fine and hasnt changed. In fact with the new beta drivers from Nvidia my overall FPS has improved some.
I have a gtx 680 and I’ve already updated to the lastest nvidia driver. I have absolutely no issues running borderlands 2 and BF3 at ultra, but since the Halloween patch, my FPS in GW2 has taken a crap on me and it’s starting to get a little frustrating.
My frame rate always been around 25, sometimes it goes up to 50 if no people around. It is annoying when you have to do jumping puzzles all the time. Other games have no such issues, so I guess it is an optimization problem. Also, auto-detect gives me the medium setting, so my frame rate much not be the worst case out there.
I’ve been having a weird problem where I’ll be fine, then zone into an area and dragged down to maybe 10. I have to completely leave the game and log back in again. Sometimes I’ll have to do it 2-3 times before it’s back to normal.
I guess we’ll have a better idea in a week or so how much of it is related to doors and such. It seems to happen to me mostly entering Queensdale, far less in other zones.
I’m curious as to whether it is Halloween related or a possible side effect of another change.
