We all should be able to use all clothes, regardless of the gender of the character.

I don’t see any legitimate reason to limit clothes to one gender only. Enven less to limit Asura and Charr to only half of the options out there.

Too revolutionary for you? Well, sorry, that’s the spirit of our times.

Uhuh, ignoring your conveniently blind insistence that ‘your’ beliefs embody the ‘spirit of our times’ regardless of any real cultural movement, that isn’t possible because clothes are not actually clothes in a video game.

Clothes are geometry, textures, and maps that replace the geometry, textures, and maps that make up your body. You can’t just apply them between two different models no matter how great or minor the differences between them.

Meaning that for this to be possible they would have to create everything to fit both the male and female models, essentially doubling their workload for all artistic assets. And no matter how much you would like to believe otherwise, that would be doubling the workload for an infinitesimally small portion of the playerbase that are, at best, a minor portion of a niche counter-cultural demographic.

the breast for asura were not placed on the females due to a short child like race or child looking race with breast . type thing. and Charr lore wise do have breast they are multi breast like Cats fill out only when pregnant there or if want to get that multi breast to work with armor. have the top set of breast be the main pair and thus bigish middle pair probly slightly smaller and the third pair or what ever be flat aginst the chest or belly. OR do what the artist of charr did in designing I think she or he said “they will have multi breast in model or none at all” and thus we get the flat chest model.

but….but….im not talking about breasts here T_T
as the title says (Female Asura Clothing Options). many and NOT ALL just many outfits and armors are the same for male and female asura. more like i want my asura to be female but if i wear that certain armor then there would be no difference if my asura was a male or a female. it really bothers me

Umm, we are talking about clothes not breasts.

See an Asuran in a dress, unfortunately one of the few dresses and Asuran can wear. This is what we are talking about. (Same goes for Charr)

This also proves that female Asuran can wear dresses. Anet is just being lazy.

You’re never going to get the option to choose between the male and female versions of an armor. You’re going to stuck with one or the other, and I for one am glad there’s an option that doesn’t make you look like a curvy super model in a metal bikini. That option is there for people like my kid cousin who has ALWAYS had to make male characters in games because the females look “ridiculous.” She absolutely loves the charr, and she gets to play as a girl character while still looking “fierce.” If you stuck her charr in something like this, she’d be super disappointed.

Why does every one think “female clothing” = “skimpy, highly sexualised”. We aren’t asking for half naked Asura, we are asking not to wear male clothing.

Mainly, female Charr and Asura need more options. It’s fine to give them the gender neutral options for armor, but they need some female versions as well. With their faces and hairstyles, they look feminine and cute. At least give us some clothing that matches.

You will NEVER get to choose if you want the male armor or female armor. It would be too much work. When you ask for female version of armor, you’re going to get the same as the female armor on every other race, this includes the skimpy ones. You can’t pick and choose. There is not a single set of armor that is different for the male and female asura or charr. NOT ONE. There are some outfits that are different but not one piece of armor. I suggest getting an outfit.

It would be really nice if you guys over there at ArenaNet took the time to give female Asura feminine sets of armor instead of giving us the male options.

How You can be sure that its Male Or Female based armor?

People looking on new race design from completely wrong perspective.
You shouldnt compare Asura society with gw2 human one. They are 2 different races… different needs, different ideology, culture, traditions and so on. Soo that also will lead to their appearance and criteria for what is appealing for Asurians. As far as I know Asura isnt really interested in their outside appearance but more interested in their intellectual level… and ears ":D

Asura =/= Human

ANET did good job with Charr and Asura.

edit:
No need to over sexualize other race by human standars. Its just poor design to create new looking race and not giving their own lore / community and so on.

Also you can make your asura more fem looking.

you see. thats the problem.. Asurians dont split Their clothing by gender. Thats why they are the same… Just by reading lore about them… u will get that they dont care about such thing.

And I like that they wear the same clothing.

This gorgeous dress for female humans/norns is a boys tux for female asuras/charrs. This was very dissapointing. Not the least bit femine nor different from male versions

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Noble_Count_Outfit

Considering it’s a gem outfit, anet shoud’ve put a little effort into this.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind a female-fitted version of the male outfit to use on one of my characters.

Thats actually one of the outfits im glad we got the male version of instead of the female. I do however wish we had more dresses available in the future, not a total rework of whats available.

The pvp community reminds me of what Obi-kittenenobi describes Mos Eisley as from star wars.

How You can be sure that its Male Or Female based armor?

Because the armor available to asura and charr is armor that was originally intended to be worn by male humans, and then ported to the asura and the charr.

It’s not armor designed for an unissex look; it’s literally male based armor. Made, quite often, to look masculine and not to look well on a woman, be that woman a human, a charr or an asura.

That’s just how ArenaNet rocks.

To the OP: ArenaNet already said, a long time ago, that they don’t really care. They said they won’t fix the issues with Charr and Asura armor because few people play as either of those two races.

(Maybe few people play as them because of the armor issues? Nah, I guess that’s too complex.)

So you have three options:

1. Continue with your asura character, knowing you are playing a second rate race.

2. Delete your character and make a human or a sylvari, knowing you would then be playing a race ArenaNet cares about.

3. Stop playing a game from a developer that just stops caring about players who fall in a minority like this.
