I have a very slow connection, so I don’t expect things to speed by or anything, but after waiting about a day and a half to reach 17%, I accidentally closed the installer.

The ‘Downloading: —’ section was reset to 0.
The percentage was also reset (this I know is normal, not sure about the ‘downloading’ bit).

The files remaining are 247,982. About five hours ago there was around 250,300 remaining. Can I expect that to speed up soon? My download rate is very slow, but it didn’t take me more than a few days to install Rift, Archeage, or WoW. I’m worried that this’ll take me a few weeks.

(For reference, my download speed averages at around 30-80 kb/s. It shoots up to 100-200 in the morning and 5-50 in the evening).

The files remaining to download are all different sizes so there is no way to predict if the download will speed up for you. It all depends on your connection.

you might also want to add what isp you have, and type of connection

If you know anyone with the game in your area it might be quicker to copy the game on a USB stick.

(Yes, this does work, I have done it twice myself, and you’ll still need a key to activate it).

The current client it’s 19.3 Gigs, at average speed of 50 KB/s you download 175.78 MB in an hour, so it would take you 4 days and a half to download the client.
