Some people complain about overpowered mechanics while they dont even know how it works. I have tested every single profession in sPvP so i could understand all of their skills and what are they capable of. Here is a little guide for those who are lazy ^^
Thief – People say that Thieves perma stealth is overpowered. No it’s not, i’m not even a thief so I’m not saying that to avoid nerf. If thief chooses to stealth he can only stealth and nothing else, if he has something else equipped then its kinda broken. Stealth thieves have daggers, try running away when thief stealths, never stop moving and if possible dropping AoE fields. If you are lucky enough to get far away thief will have to use shortbow, that’s 10 second recharge to backstab, if movement skills are not possible try

Here are some things each class can do
Warrior: Hammer – AoE CC, Greatsword – movement, Bow – Aoe field, Axe – pff spin or something from offhand, Shield -block, Horn – swiftness, sword – Block or Leap, Mace – block, “Endure Pain”, Stomp, “fear me”
Guardian: Hammer – AoE CC, Greatsword – retaliaton and leap also pull, Torch – #5 + spin yourself, Mace – block, Shield – Psuh, Focus – block, Staff – line of warding and swiftness, scepter – AoE. Aegis, Healing skill #1, Sanctuary.
Ranger: Longbow – AoE field, Torch – AoE field, Sword – evade if lucky and leap, Axe – #5 or #2, dagger – evade if lucky, Horn – swiftness, “protect me” or invulnerability, traps.
Thief: Shortbow – AoE fields and teleport, Dagger – leap, Sword – can port back after running a while, Stealth, traps, teleport
Engineer: Pistols – AoE field, Shield – Knockback, Rifle – jump shot and AoE CC, Turrets, Invulnerability, bombs and granades, mines.
Mesmer: Greatsword – knockback, Focus – Pull, Sword – evade or block, scepter – block, Staff – AoE field, Torch – stealth +AoE attack, Stealth, Teleport, Distortion
Elementalist: Staff – Tons of AoE, Dagger – Dazing aura + ride lightning and tons of AoE, Focus – Obsidian Flesh, Scepter – AoE, Mist form, Teleport, Cleansing flame AoE, Elemental storm, Magnetic shield + Fortify.
Necromancer: Staff – AoE fields, Daggers – AoE, Scepter – AoE, Axe – AoE, Death Shroud, Fear, AoE fields.
