Guild Wars 2 altho beautiful is really drab and dark. A lot of things are either brown, gray or dark green. GW2 needs more color, needs to be livened up.

Yeah i’ve used that and altho its good, it’s not what i’m looking for. I’m talking vibrant colors. Kind of like say….wildstar is a good example. It’s colorful and vibrant. But I don’t really like the cartoony look.
I’m talking about having colors in structures instead of just brown and gray and have colors int eh trees and flora. There are some flora around but its not much.

I see colour every where in the game. It is so colourful I am not sure what you are seeing.

What are your graphics set to? The lowest settings remove a lot of the detail, and with it a lot of the colour.

With max settings I think the game is very colourful.

This is one of the most beautiful games I have ever seen, this has to be a troll thread.

I find many places within Tyria to be most colorful.

While gw2 has many beautiful maps……. Timberline Falls, Auric Basin, Queensdale, Wayfarer Foothills, etc….. It also has some very ugly maps…….. Most of Orr, Dry Top, Silverwastes, these zones are mostly drab with lots of brownish shades…… I understand that the story led to these type of zones…. I am hoping that future stories will lead to the more beautiful type of zones

I threw together some quick screenshots to illustrate how much of a difference it can make. At various times I’ve played the game with everything from minimal graphics (periodically covered with what I called ’confetti FX because my graphics card was dying) to maximum and the difference is amazing.

It’s a bit of a pain to do and can be expensive if you need new hardware but if you care about how your games look adjusting the settings is well worth doing.
