With GW2’s first birthday just around the corner, and with it the first birthdays of characters created at launch, I wonder has anyone heard anything about what we might expect?

Do we think there will be some kind of ingame event? I don’t actually remember if there was ever an ingame birthday event like that in GW….

Also, I so hope if our chars get prezzies, its not going to be mini’s again (not that I can complain about free items of any kind but you know what i mean).

MMhh nope, but there was present for every year of your character, so if you started play on 28th august 2012 there might be something (or at least I hope so).

I also don’t want anymore minis, they are so many already..

I atually created my first 5 chars in headstart, august 25th, which is my actual birthday so im eagerly anticipating the birthdays. Roll on the 25th lol

Yeah there should be an in-game event. Here is the LA’s loading screen for the birthday celebration.

Not going to say I’m expecting anything but it would be cool. But then would they give it to every character when they reached a year, or when your account reaches a year, or just characters a year old when they are celebrating the year’s anniversary.

I always liked what they did in Rift, every three months subscription you had you got a new package with a unique armour set and some other stuff in.

I hope they open up the wayfarer’s reverie quests in GW1 again.

I hope they have limited edition minis for birthdays again. Those get really valuable and can be fun to hunt down. I fondly remember the great present swap when EoTn came around and we were given a mini monument.
