Sigil of blood seems lackluster compared to the other on crit sigils.
Before the patch it was on a 2s CD with a 30%
After patch its 50% with kitten CD

I suggest to lower the CD to 2 or 3s

I like most of the changes to runes, The sigils… Well as long as they function I’m alright with it. I mostly find myself wondering why certain sigils cost 20-70 gold on the TP now. without ny way to forge or craft them….

I’ve been begging them to fix the lack of agony infusion on the shadow of grenth and light of dwayna for 5 months now with out response. Good luck.

I didn’t even realize those didn’t get them either.

COME ON ANET!!!! How hard is it to do this. Do we seriously need to wait another six months for a simple update like this? We all spend our hard earned gold to get these why is it so hard to give us these simple updates.

Soooo I’m sure there has been a ton of replies and upset players about the recent critical damage update, the whole “10% reduction” when people are complaining it’s actually more. I’m completely fine with the critical damage nerf, if you say it balances the game, I’ll give it a shot, I trust anet knows more about GW2 than I do.

However, what I’m not a fan of is my krytan gear that I bought for real money that is stuck with ferocity, as well as full sets of ascended trinkets on two characters that are also stuck with ferocity, but hey, they’re account bound now! but… now I have two sets of the exact same trinkets…

Like I said, I’m completely fine with changing my build around, possibly trying condition damage (I’m always open to new things!) But I would really appreciate it if we were allowed to switch the stats of the higher level gear we had previous to the update since so much has changed.

Got to complain a bit more, the 100% berserker builds don’t care that they lost a chunk of crit damage cause the fundamental core of how they play it doesn’t change. They still deal a lot of damage, primary power, then crit.

However for hybrid builds they are utterly screwed. After more playing its just become stupid how much harder it is to play with celestial, the bonus to other stats does nothing that you could possibly detect in real time. I went from 94% crit dam to 52%.

dps is ~20-25% lower, due to celestial power is not that high. After hours of trying there just isn’t any good middle ground left; if you go defense you can’t kill them fast enough, more power your one big squishy target. Middle and you suck at both.

It really does boggle the mind why they are afraid to give Celestial armor the stats that would make them a tier 1 armor set.

Very high crafting costs compared to other armor.
Very long crafting time.
Very few professions can make celestial work. (guardian, elemental, maybe thief?)

Celestial quiet frankly needed a noticeable boost in some way, not a mega nerfing.
Fact that traited crit damage is 10% lower as a default, most celestial armor should have been left as it was or only have a slight reduction (sword, chest).

I noticed that I’m receiving no reduction in damage against doors. I recommend that power be reduced 50% in the next patch so doors stand a chance. Their meta is very limited.

I chose celestial gear and was happy with the previous stats, but I feel we got unfairly hit in this patch. With damage reduction and crit reduction I am sitting with ascended armor that wasn’t meta, wasn’t a problem but made worse.

As a disclaimer : I have liked the changes to date, but given the extra time it takes to make ascended I feel a spittle hoses. Please either provide a further boost or allow celestial wearers to restate their gear like what was done for magic find.

As a whole I feel the feature update to be well done and that it benefits game’s heath long term.

That said with this section of changes in particular I feel some of the changes were made hastily and with somewhat of a heavy hand.

I’ve a total of 10 geared 80s ( at least one of each profession ), 2 of which in ascended. I play a mix of direct and condition based builds. That all said, I feel say the changes to stacking sigil functionality, ferocity scaling and celestial armor are damaging to the game.

Sigils)

As far as the sigils go, I understand and find it fair that you should have to commit to that sigil slot to maintain the buff. The problem I have with that now is you can no longer switch to an alternate weapon type with the same sigil without losing the boost. This is not a sensible way for it to work.

This is largely an issue in PVE as with the changes to PvP stacking being 5 per player kill universally, its not a huge inconvenience. In dungeons however this is very unfriendly as many professions are more proficient using different weapons on different encounters. If you invest in the same sigil additionally for another weapon type, I see no reason to be penalized for it. I find it fair to limit the min maxing and the attraction of having a second weapon with a different sigil in it previously (ie get 25 bloodlust, switch out for night/force) but in this case, there is no legitimate gameplay reason to have the restriction. I hoping for the time being it is merely a technical limitation that can be overcome in the future.

Ferocity)

Obviously this has been a point of contention for the player base and for good reason. We were given the impression earlier on that the total damage reduction due to the changes would be roughly 10%. There was minimal context to this claim of course so it was hard to really take away much from it at the time. Now that things are live, it is a much different story…

Given ferocity changes effect gear stats, food, traits and runes, the overarching changes it has caused in critical damage reduction is much more significant that previously suggested. Long story short, the result at the end of the day is not very favorable. Sure, high critical damage builds still are superior to most others in PVE as a whole, I feel they’ve been neutered to an unreasonable extent.

It still doesn’t promote build diversity as the other stat and build sets are still where they were. That hasn’t changed. I have a suggestion for damage control (pun intended) while still achieving the initial quoted reduction more accurately.

Critical scaling per point -

The easiest change would be to change the ferocity to crit damage conversion from 15:1 to something closer to 12:1. This would still accomplish to goal of top end damage reduction, still allows the existing stat weighting on gear, food, runes and traits to remain untouched and comes off being less heavy handed as a whole. It also would help with the next issue…

Celestial Stats)

Celestial is obviously a tricky combination to kitten and balance. Clearly its previous ability to maintain critical damage parity with 3 stat gear sets was not appropriate. That said it was a sum of the parts and one of the larger draws to the stat set.

Now it feels much less potent to the point of wanting to question its usefulness. I feel my previous suggestion of ferocity point conversion alone would go a long way here as well. Apart from that change, the overall increase to stats to compensate should be raise another further 2-3% percent.

It would still distance the stat set to other more focused sets but it will still have a more sensible place in the game, one which now I feel has been lost.

Otherwise good changes as a whole. I really would appreciate those involved in the team taking a serious look at these particular changes, namely ferocity scaling.

About stacking Sigils…
… You can only have one attribute stacking bonus at a time. The bonus is lost when you are downed, when you travel to a different zone, or when you unequip the weapon.

So the lost stack on unequiping weapon with a stacking Sigil is the new change from this April patch right? Why I am feeling Anet owe us some Upgrade Extractors, because of this new change I have to relocate/change ALL my characters’ weapon setups that are using a Sigil of Bloodlust/Corruption.

Was this an exploit? How come I never seen this being mentioned in the official wiki? Always thought that this is a intended mechanism! If I knew this is gonna get fixed I would have use Sigil of Force/Strength instead… Many players acquire an additional weapon with Sigil of Bloodlust/Corruption got to the 25 stacks then swap back to their desired weapon sets. With this nerf bat all our stacking Sigil weapons are useless now, is this a move to get us to buy Upgrade Extractors from the Gem store? Not nice Anet…

More about stacking Sigils… contributed by Alacrity.4312.
“If I don’t get the full 25 stack (say 15) then remove the mainhand Bloodlust but keep another Bloodlust wep (eg in offhand), I kept whatever stacks I’d generated but no new stacks develop.” Is this a bug?

Also we can’t ‘double stack’ anymore, equipping a mainhand and offhand weapons both with a Sigil of Bloodlust we used to be able to get 2 stacks on each kill. Another nerf out of nowhere. Second set of weapon made useless again.

And I want this clarified as contributed from other players:
For example I have an axe with Superior Sigil of Bloodlust, I got a underwater spear with the same Superior Sigil of Bloodlust. I killed 25 creatures onland got the 25 stacks with the axe, unequip the axe and still retain the 25 stacks because of the spear. Is this going to get nerf as well?

Stop making the players paying for YOUR mistakes Anet… I refuse to buy anything from the Gem Store now on. Bloody unhappy.

I’d recommend changing sigil of celerity. As it is now it’s in all ways inferior to sigil of rage. Unless you’re somehow killing 25 enemies in under 30 seconds then you’ll have loads more quickness using rage. Even with only 3s cooldown and 30s recharge you’re probably going to be getting it on cooldown or close too it with any decent crit chance.

Also for stacking sigils such as celerity and demon summoning it may be good to have some sort of delayed activation option, like having it display and icon that lets you use the quickness or summon when you want and freezing charge gain till it’s used. As they are you can easily set off the bonus on the last kill of a group and then be left with 5s of quickness and nothing in sight making all those kills a waste, with some delayed system you could at least save it for the start of the next fight. I mention demon summoning too because that thing only lives for 60 seconds and it sucks having some of that time burn off while walking to the next mob.

I’d hate to see those crappy invulnerability sigils be changed out for something that’s equally unused because you can’t dictate when you get the buff making it easy to waste. Even with a buff I don’t think anyone will use that sigil because killing 25 mobs just to get 5s of quickness is hardly worth it compared to other buffs. Lower charges need maybe?
