So… I wasn’t able to find much data on the drop rates of Globs of Dark Matter, so I did some tests and thought I should share with you fine folks:
Mystic SK: 471 salvages = 234 GoDM (0.4968 each)
Black Lion SK: 346 salvages = 340 GoDM (0.983 each)
all items salvaged were level 68+ exotics. I also found out when I started to do this that level 67- exotics do NOT drop GoDM, or inscription/insignia.

A couple of major contributors post on the forums. If you want to PM me later, I can give you some names and you can use forum mail to send them data and/or figure out why the wiki is bugging out for you (if you want).

did some more salvages, updated the info at top, I think that’s the last I’ll research on this. it seems to be just about 0.5 for MSK and 1.0 for BLSK.

Isn’t there a place on the wiki for agregating this kind of data? If so, you should add your results.

I had thought, from my own experience, that the BLSKs were substantially better for getting dark matter. It’s nice to see it backed up with real numbers. I do hope you, or someone who knows how to update the wiki, does so with this information.

well whadyaknow! it let me contribute without issue.

I used 3 Black Lion Salvage kits on 3 Exotic level 71 Rampager’s Soft Wood Warhorn of Accuracy (item #26852) which resulted in the Globs of Dark Matter dropping in this order: 2, 0, 1 = 3 (from 4 of item #2652).

Then I used the BLSK on 7 Carrion Scallywag Helm of the Centaur (item #1640) which resulted in dropping the GoDM in this order: 0,1,2,1,0,1,1 = 6 (from 7 of item #1940).
