I actually experienced this for the first time tonight myself on Emhry Bay at SB. It’s unfortunate, I’m not really sure what the answer is.
I will say that I seem to recall that, at least in beta, our overflow server was a ‘sister’ server, of sorts. It wasn’t just some nameless instance, it was actually someone else’s server, as if we had chosen to guest there, and we could see the name.
If that is still the case, would it be harmful to let us ‘see’ the name? At least in that case, we could look to see where the timers are at on that server as well and whether we’re willing to waiting for the event to be up or not? In my case, I had just started my dailies for the evening and was planning on running around Queensdale a bit anyways. If I knew the name of the server I was overflow(-ed? -n?) on, I could check the timer and if it was an hour, maybe elect to stay in that overflow and wait?
