Hall of monuments outside ( Glitch) :)
Is this new? awesome.
Idk if its new but its beautiful
Just did the same. Outpost looks amazing from outside. But there is nothing else to explore really.
Can be done with a mesmer as well, using blink. It is, indeed pretty. Wish we could go in First Person for some screenshots without my asura’s head in the bloody way!

I would have looked for Gwen’s garden! Very neat tho. Nice glitch. er feature.
I just did it with my necromancer, it’s pretty cool
I’m surprised at how much there is to explore around EotN. Sure, it’s all snowy hills, but it’s there nonetheless. I would have expected the terrain to cut off much closer to the building.
Its possible with a necro? :o nice !
I did this on my thief. Idk wth that big shiny thing off in the distance is.
“A release is 7 days or less away or has just happened within the last 7 days…
These are the only two states you’ll find the world of Tyria.”
I thought this was interesting
That is really interesting. You can see buildings on the surface, and creatures underneath, maybe the head of a dragon below that?
I’ve always been curious about these mysterious builders who had created the Eye of the North, and if there are any other structures related to them.
I wonder if the writers have ever thought through these “precursors” as part of Tyrian lore, or if it’s just one of those, “we need a big building, let’s just say unknown ancients made it,” devices. Wiki says the Norn had avoided the building, but I don’t remember any hint as to why.
Oh the overwhelming nostalgia when i see the area! It is almost just like we left it in GW1. I do not think that this was accidental, I think this was meant as a cool surprise to whoever finds it.
It’s totally possible that this is going to be an explorable area sometime down the road…
Looking forward to the future!
I really hope this is expanded into an explorable area sometime down the road. Hall of Monuments and the lake in front of it was one of the most memorable places of GW1 and it is the only map in all of GW2 to directly reflect the original GW1 scenery. I wonder what else remains outside the Hall of Monuments?
One of my complaints with GW2 is how they didn’t leave the original terrain intact. But the Hall of Monuments still looks like it’s straight from GW1, and that’s a good thing!

It’s the mayan calendar did they build the EotN? and did they predict the coming of the dragons?
Actually, that’s not Mayan – it’s the Aztec sun stone:
ahahaha u are crazy :’)

I did it with my thief last night and I looked for the garden but it wasn’t there! Boo!!! It may be added later though, the area is not polished at all at least what I saw. It went pretty far though… I almost made it to the Blood Legion home lands but everything just stopped… I’ll edit in some screens when I get back to my PC
…did you learn the shout of monuments? :p
I just did something even more mad: going on the roof of the HoM with an engineer. I’ll post the video tonight. ;-)
They most definitely left room here for future expansion content. There would be absolutely no reason to extend the terrain out that far if they didn’t plan on using it in the future IMHO.
I have no idea if it would happen, and it would be difficult to resolve the lore aspect, but I would like some deeper tie in with the HOM activities of my hero from the previous game, or the ability to some how restore the HOM.
Where is this located?

As I said, it’s up:

If you go under the hall in a deep hole you can find a ghost-like jellifish sprite
Friends have claimed to find it elsewhere in the water aswell!

An other glitch at durmand priory
Would be cool if they made a Asura time travel gate in the HOM and when you walk through it, you get transported to GW1.
Reminds me of sneaking by the portal in Granite Citadel to see the end of the world. You can also jump in a pool of water and get underneath the scrying pool area of the monument.
Edit: At least I can still get my goodies from Kimmes.

I’ve found at least 5 glitched areas in Lornar Pass^^
Probably because of the way they put their mountains. It’s horrible inside :S
