6k hour, almost 10 legendary, 2 year later the game is still almost the same with some minor changes. Even tho the game focus on cosmetic, majority of the good looking/ unique looking ones are lock behind gem store. This is no different than other f2w mmorpg except its pay to look nice.

still, game needs a BIG shot in the arm….hopefully the extreme lack of new content this year means a expansion is in the works.

He does have a point though:
in a game were gear is measured in terms of good looks and quality of texture skins, putting the best quality in a gem store and using low quality textures on core armor is not the best way to amnage the game. One would at least expect same quality on both the sets.

Uhh… I know a lot of people who have been playing since day 1 with an 8xxx account… It is reasonable that a 9xxx could be the same.

To be fair, I’ve been here since Beta, so…pretty sure the numbers in the Display Name have nothing to do with longevity. Lol.

Take a break, wait until 4. Nov and then look in again. Until now there isnt a real alternative but if they screw up this time again they will create an alternative on their own.

Yes but we are waiting for more than 2 years for guild halls in a game named “Guild Wars”. I think we have to wait another 2 years before “You know what company I mean” brings them into this game.

The numbers are randomly generated.

I registered for the pre-release, and then tied my GW1 account to this one. The numbers changed when I did so, going from 4xxx to 2086.

6k hour consist of doin the same 8 dungeon path each day, and afkin in LA, waiting for the tp, chatting, bsin, and complaining about how this game is like pay to win instead of gear treadmill u have pay to look pretty. How nothing have change much, and every patch brought along more gem store related stuff instead of gettin it doing the content. Even if u can get it through game play, it is usually lock behind more rng, Ghost dog…

that is a good game and its 2nd most populated mmo out there.only problem for me is raid is too hard. mobs is too strong. i dont mind they made challenging boss fight that require extreme cooperation but i cant stand killing mobs in dungeon take 80% of time

you are right …maybe come back after major update and see how s gw2 doing..cya man.
but for the ff14 part i dont know if its worth spending time on.its like a WoW without pvp part…and of course much better graphic…ppl come and go after every major expansion cuz some ppl get tired of gear grinding while some just get ready to catch up with their old buddies after took break from 1 or 2 gear rank gap…i used to be crazy about this gear progression thing but unfortunately gw2 fixed me….now i have no game to play besides gw2 cuz every other mmo is “world of gear score”…i blame anet..it feels like they fixed my drug abuse and then put me in jail

I wish that was true. I was left alone shortly after release and none have come back. Well, left alone in GW2 at least. Still get to play with my family and friends in other games/mmos.

I leaved the game a long time ago for the same reason,I’m sorry you realized it so late,all that hours cannot ever be regained x_x Even worse if you like me did the 50/50 in GW 1 just to have the nice title inside GW2 and just to find out the game failed you…biggest waste of time/regret in our life x_x

Although, have to say, isn’t a lot of stuff in these SS account-bound? I mean, you can’t give away your stacks of Dragonite Ore, for example.

all those skins, weapons and precursor and other crap in my bank are not bound yet including meteorologic, 2 chaos of lyssa recipe.

This is my first post in the forums, and OP yes i feel you, the whole game is just based on looks, its alot of fun for new players where you got to do stuff, events, explore, farm, then you realize you’re eventually aiming to just look good with some fancy stuff, i mean it lacks the glories feel when you do something.

Ive been playing for more than a year -on and off- and still working on my first ascended armor set, and the only reason im doing it because i have nothing else to do, its like a motive or a goal to make keep logging in and for what? 5 – 10% stats improvement? then ill be special just like thousands of other players and maybe just maybe i could look different ? thats not satisfying atleast not for me.

anyways, if you wanna do something with your stuff, dont just give it all to your friends, maybe half or something, and use the rest as a price for events you host in LA or giveaway for newbies who really needs and appreciate the help

I played sine beta so like… does this mean I’m the 3265th person who played GW2 since release? Im interested to know. =) Thanks for info!
