I went to farm a bit today and I realized bots started using guild tags.
You can tell they are bots because their characters use a “path” to move, which is always the same, wrong skill uses, etc.

Anyways, I was farming there and I’m starting to get paranoid someone could think I’m one of them, report me to Anet and I get banned.
Chances are perhaps, when Anet sees a bot train they will ban everyone even me if I’m on the same mobs.

So for now I stopped farming those botted zones.
I’ve never been remotely a paranoid person but being there with all the bots makes me fear I might be mistaken as one of them.

In GW1 I was banned because I was farming raptors outside Rata Rum, they thought I was a bot; I was immediately unbanned after a ticket, but still somewhat proves to me Anet could miss a shot and ban normal people.

Anyone else is worried about this? Maybe it’s just me.

From what I have heard, it takes five botting reports for Anet to check on the player. In order to get reported, someone else would have to comeby and do so. If anyone comes by, just say Hi to them and they would definitely not report you.

You shouldn’t worry about such things unless you are a bot. I mean as a human you should probably be moving around more fluidly compared to bots. The only thing you have to worry about is the DR kicking in (depending where you play e.g. orr), e.g. if you are in orr you are pretty much killing risen monsters only, with that in mind, the only thing you need to worry about is if the DR has kicked in who knows when that comes in, after 30 mins? less?

Before I report someone I suspect, I just ask them if they’re a bot.

If there’s no reply, I feel confident that I can report them.

When i see people with names like fdjshb, hfdsdklz, jldjdzzf and i see them teleporting I will defenitely not ask them if they are a bot or no.
