What is the difference is something themed to an event is introduced during an event for the time of the event. It’s completely irrelevant if the thing isn’t required to play and, guess what? It’s not required to play.

It’s convenient and probably not worth the money which makes it okay but most people’s standards.

I haven’t seen anyone else suggest that Anet shouldn’t put topical stuff in the cash shop.

As much as I do miss direct player-to-player trading, I realise that the TP’s fees are one of the key reasons our economy isn’t inflated beyond belief, so I think it’s a small price to pay
