People complaining about pvp-exclusive armor are forgetting about legendary weapons.

Won’t be PvE-exclusive in the future. They announced that they were working on a way to earn legendaries in pvp.

Fractal weapons are PvE exclusive though.

Fractal weapons are a good-lord-that’s-a-frustrating-RNG-grind exclusive.

are you or anyone else excluded from the opportunity of partaking in pvp? Then it is unfair. If not, the answer is yes.

I posted this in another thread but will say the same thing again.

If a player is good enough to compete in a tournament, then they deserve something for winning, something that no one else has. Competitive play in GW2 has been neutered of rewards over the last few updates. It’s about time they got something that PVE’ers didn’t. I don’t play PvP myself, I largely stick to PVE with some WvW every now and then and PVE gets the majority of everything simply because that’s where the majority of players are. PvP’ers and WvW’ers have been short changed for way too long

There should be PvP-excluvie content.

Finally, ANet doing what it should by giving something exclusive to players that want some challenge.

Three 80-lvl Rangers. Why? ‘Cos they’re that cool.

They also announced precursor crafting and we all know what happened with that.

PvP and WvW have gotten the short end of the stick for a while, I don’t see them as being babied at all.

Now, is it fair that they can get the dungeon armor without doing the dungeons? Sure. It’s not like they aren’t doing anything for it. They still have to play their chosen mode. It’s not any different than strict pvpers obtaining pve skins via balth faction in GW1. Same concept.

Then why is it fair that there are (or rather will be again) PvP-only armors? Why wouldn’t there be a way for PvE plyers to work for it? And not by crafting, but by questing (as that should be the PvE way of getting stuff, not that mindless farming that is required at the moment…)

There isn’t anything wrong with having a few mode specific rewards to entice people into those modes. An armor skin or a cosmetic mini are excellent choices for such rewards because they have no bearing, no impact on the actual game functionality. As with GW1, if you want a specific cosmetic, you grind for it. This one specifically requires a pvp grind. It’s not any different than having to grind a title for an armor set.

Now, that said, I have also stated in a different thread, that while there isn’t anything wrong with pvp getting these 2 skins (1 is tournament prize, the other is a similar version via a reward track), the other modes need to have something similar as well. WvW could do with having another couple of armor skins added, perhaps something to make badges actually worthwhile. PvE needs a couple exclusive skins similar in status to FoW or Vabbian. As Vayne pointed out, PvE does have Fractal skins, which are currently PvE exclusive, but I don’t think that’s sufficient. Not to mention that fractals are not exactly everyone’s cup of tea.

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

3. That very well may be but pvpers now can get arah armor which is an end game armor. I wonder if wvwers can get arah gear hmmm?

LOL, everyone who played rated matches had it already a year before the Feature Patch. Besides there is barely anything hard in farming dungeons.

it is because pvp in this game is a failure considering how successful it was in GW1. They need more carrots on the pvp stick if they ever want to be considered e-sport as gw1 was.

Zerk is the average Joe build. Don’t pat yourself in the back too hard.
