Why is that even an option. Why would we want to join to play “whatever [we] like” if there’s nothing to gain. I ended up in 4 instances in a row that were like that before getting one that wasn’t over. I thought they’d maybe fix that after all these years.

I agree that it’s annoying, especially if it happens to you several times in a row.

The tactic I used last year to avoid this frustration was to stay in the instance and wait for it to cycle round to the start again. Sure I have to spend time waiting, but I’m guaranteed a full round once the waiting is over.

That fails often too, at least for me. After the wait it just informs that instance I tried to join is full, and then I have to try again anyway. :P
