Engineer with elixir gun. Its high damage, absurd amount of healing and its retreat jump means your always ready for anything. And dont even get me started on its aoe cone attack skill.

Haha, that’s just cruel

Cruel for all the players who will die by his hand, yes.

Honest reply

For PvE

Warrior if you want a well balanced class with options (DPS, tank, support, control) Warriors just plain “WORK” in PVE

For WvW

D/D Ele. Well played, they dont die. Average player, still hard to kill
Thief. Abuse perma stealth (culling issues) and faceroll entire zergs
Guardian. Same as Ele
Mesmer. Well played, about the only class that can take down a Ele if played well.

Warrior hands down. Compared to when I leveled my main (a mesmer) I was shocked how easy it as I am now leveling a warrior. I wish the warrior development team would also work on mesmers. Simple example: Warrior savage leap across gaps when mesmer blink can’t, kitten

I don’t know- I absolutely love my main Mesmer- so much that I made a second Mesmer
I have a Warrior but I find her really boring to play,.
I have an Ele at lvl 50 or so that is really fun as well.
My Thief is still sitting around lvl24
I only PvE so i don’t understand why people say it is difficult to play Mesmers in PvE- I find it a blast. Plus your survive-ability is awesome. My main has a 22k health pool

Only in one spec, warriors can spec into anything and still three shot or one shot everyone, thus the reason for my suggestion. Thieves have to spec all burst damage crit % and and stealth to do this. Warriors can be bunker spec and still do it.

No they can’t, and specially not when “tank” specced. The only people thinking that are those who never played a Warrior at max level.

honestly please tell me what that buttons is im really dieing to know?

but anyway if you want a strong pver go warr/guard they are top atm

Want to WvW? go Thief or D/D ele best roamers and gankers although D/D ele requires alot more awareness then the thief it is better the thief is great to gear Glass cannon and just wreck newbs over and over and over and over and over again and have them come on the forums and cry about it nothing more tasty then scrubs tears mmmm

Oh no they talked u into making a warrior? Turn back while you still can, warriors are good in pve cuz nothing moves away from them. But trust me, and also look at any PVP forums or any PVP player, even A.Net PVP developer in an interview about warrior pvp said “we are having a hard time making warrior work in pvp”…. if u are interested in pvp or wvw, u will probably quit game after u make ur warrior lvl 80 unless they get some serious buffs. Very very difficult to be efficient in that area with them and even if you are, there will be other classes that can beat it.

if u want a class that is good in both PVP and PVE pick Necro which is in the meta group in pvp (meaning NEEDED in tournaments) and also facerolls pve.

If u want the PVP dominant OP characters, heres the one you want. Mesmer, but hes hard at low lvls n PVE. And thief.

hope you get this message in time !!!!!!!!!!

btw, not trolling, no bias here, i have 1000 hours into this game and ppl say i play it way too much ( i understand why ) i am just saying the truth i’ve learned thru my wealth of experience in every class and 4 Lvl 80’s

Roll a thief. No other class can practically one shot people every 60 seconds and then escape, then do it all over again.

Thieves don’t 1 shot, it’s a combination of C&D>MUG>Backstab, easily avoidable if you keep moving and dodge once a Thief is in mug range, the only thing that makes thieves OP atm is the culling issue, but that isn’t our fault.

Actually, this is a source of debate. For some reason, people here say engineer, yet on the engineer forums, you’ll see nothing but people constantly complaining about how weak, inefficient, and unbalanced their class is.

Likewise, you might think warriors seem awesome, but yet whenever you go to the warrior forums, there are at least 3 threads detailing why warriors suck in PvP and why they need buffs.

Pretty much the only class you never seem to hear anything bad about is Mesmers.

Because most of them are giving him the answer that the question “which is the OP class?” deserves.

People say engineer is OP because it is. Can do everything extremely well, they have an auto attack that throws 3 grenades for gods sake that does insane damage. Plus they have like 60 different skills.

edit: class can effectively swap between weapon kits with 0 CD making them the ultimate gods

And yet you’ll only hear people complain about thieves and mesmers being OP

The minority who live in sPvP (and yet somehow fail to see titles, stars, different weapons etc on mesmer clones) are a minority compared to everyone else. Not to mention Mesmers are so tuned for PvP that PvE can get kinda hairy.

It will be nice if/when we can swap builds.

Pretty much the only class you never seem to hear anything bad about is Mesmers.

Mesmer players really love their class despite its many issues. We also tend to keep it to our class forums.
