Q:
Latest Guild Wars 2 European Server
Welcome to Tyria!!!
The servers have been created (almost) at the same time, so we can’t really answer your question. As far as populations go, I know Vabbi and Fissure of Woe would love to have more players, as it’s quite empty there. Don’t come to Seafarer’s Rest because we have a medium tag but I see quite a lot of people around-
“You can’t have more than 10 HS decks because that would confuse people”
“30 fps is more cinematic”
I am on Vabbi. Cant say it is empty, but more players would be welcome.
So, come to Vabbi !
Ah, so according to what I understood, at the game launch all the server where created at the same time, right?
Yes, as far as i know there were no EU servers added at a later time. You might consider NOT going to the lowest population servers, though – there’s really no advantage to that, and a lot of disadvantages.

What disadvantages might bring to a player to go on low population server?
Yes you got it right Vectoryzed. Keep in mind you can group up and play PvE/PvP with people from every EU server, but you can only WvW with your own server’s players.
And as Astral said, there’s some disadvantages to joining a lowly populated server, but you could sacrifice yourself for the greater good?
P.s. I’ve guested over to Vabbi loads of times and you guys have an average of 1/6th of SFR (medium server) on LA in EU prime time. Unless you are really spread thin or have a different prime time, you are as empty as servers go as far as I know :p

What do you think about going on Gandara?
Is this a right choice?
The main criteria you should be concerned about are server population, language and guilds that match your needs.
You should a bit of research before hand on each server you are considering. Look for the number of guilds, and the size and language used in the guilds. There are web sites that have this info, just do a google search.
I am on Gunnar’s Hold (medium pop last time I checked) and is very active.
Just DONT go to Vabbi or Fissure of Woe.. It might be empty, but you cant simply do World Vs World because they are horrible there (Sorry to say it) but whenever we play against them we have all the points and they simply dont have any players… Gandara seems good, atleast in WvW
What disadvantages might bring to a player to go on low population server?
Low population in general means low population on maps as well. Low populations on maps means less people to help if you run into problems, less people to do bigger dynamic events with. Being alone on a map can be really depressing as well – and on some servers there are whole regions that are completely devoid of any players. Players are what makest the game alive.
Barring some living story badly designed accidents (holo projestors, i am looking at you) you don’t have to fight with others for “resources” (whether crafting mats, drops, or xp), so “too much players” is not something that you’d usually be thinking anyway.
What do you think about going on Gandara?
Is this a right choice?
I’d say it is a perfect choice, but i might be a little bit biased being from Gandara myself.

Thank you guys,
I’ve chosen Gandara.
See you in game!
