I was looking forward to ArenaNet’s version of raids but after seeing the revamped Tequatl and now 2 bosses which are very much like him, I’m having serious doubts about the future of this game’s difficult content.

I don’t despise bosses like Tequatl because they are difficult, but because of the mechanics that cause them to be difficult. When I do this content It feels like I’m in a choreography, not participating in the awesome combat system GW2 has. This is because most of the difficulty and mechanics used during these fights emphasize player coordination, not knowledge and skillful use combat mechanics.

What we need is less content that plays like this and more that plays like this.

I agree a bit, but for different reasons, and I do sorta see why advanced tactics and coordination is good for some events. I hated Tequatl for the longest time and still not exactly my fav thing to do since it really really depends on not only tons of people being there, but on some knowing exactly what to do and be able to take charge and people listening. I feel it is much the same with these.

Life doesn’t stop being funny just because the dead can’t laugh.

Tequatl works the same like Lupicus or Subject Alpha. Boss does X, you have to do Y.
The only difference is, that Tequatl requires way more people to succeed.
And on what awsome cambat system do you reffering to? The “stack and mash the 1-5 button” tactic?

Ranger - Guardian - Warrior - Elementalist - Necromancer - Mesmer
EU Elona Reach – Void Sentinels
