There are ways to constructively criticize. There are ways to start a panic. They’re not the same thing.

There are many people who post “GW2 glorified post”. There is nothing constructive about it too. They are just expressing how they felt. I don’t see you run around and saying those post isn’t constructive.

Maybe when people posting those angry post, that are just genuinely how they felt. I don’t know why every post have to be constructive.

Back on the subject of a PTR (before we got side-tracked with yet another Vayne-is-a-paid-ANet-poster-back-and-forth, who by the way, doesn’t criticize anyone making ridiculously overblown and unsubstantiated posts defending GW2), ANet has (or had) a PTR. My guild was on it to test the first rollout of ascended gear. Unfortunately we were booted for being too critical, and the system was implemented in exactly the same way we experienced it on the PTR.

Long and short of it is, those saying a PTR wouldn’t change GW2 for the better are correct. ANet doesn’t seem to care for feedback which encourages them away from their internal road map.

Recordatory: Please post this pool link in your guilds web pages or groups, that way the pool will get a better sample, both in number and representativity.

These are all among the first ten threads in gw2 subreddit. So tell me again how everyone thinks this is great for new players?

You can think that if you want. I have no problem with that. Doesn’t change the truth of anything I’ve said.

Reddit is generally more positive, and while the forum tends to be negative almost all day every day, reddit is not. That’s because reddit is generally fan moderated and if someone posts something completely ridiculous or overstated it gets downvoted by fans until it disappears.

Reddit does get angry sometimes, and does pop it’s cork, but not nearly as often as the forums and not for nearly as long.

Again, because it’s fan moderated. Moderators have to let negative stuff stand or they get accused of bias. They get accused of that anyway, but it’s silly considering how many negative threads and comments there are.

But like I said, you’re 100% free to believe anything you want.

i see allot of complains about the poll, in the mean time it still does the job, making clear the level-up “update” should’ve never bin done in the first place.

There should be a question like
“I like some parts of the leveling system but most of it needs improvement”

And you don’t need 2 questions for dislike, “don’t like” and “hate” are close enough they don’t need separate questions.

I totally forgot about that reddit post I made. checked back and 88% approval with 485 upvotes O.O

It’s so cool. Before the official forums got involved it was very balanced. Then suddenly out of nowhere, it got downvoted by a bunch of people and the numbers stacked up with hate it.

I didn’t announce it on the official forums first, because I was pretty sure that’s what would happen.

I voted once and once only. My wife couldn’t vote, because we have the same IP. But of course, no one from the official forums would possibly try to skew the vote at all. That would never happen under any circumstance.

The pre forum annoucement and post forum annoucement were night and day. I’m quite okay with it.

Are you for real? this forum IS THE OFFICIAL forum. i don’t know why you choose reddit over this one. oh yeah right, because everyone here hate it. the people who actually got real access 100% to the game. the people who actually tested the game and love the game but frustrated because they keep making bad decision about it.

Can’t post here if we don’t have an account can’t we? god knows who voted the one from reddit before the poll becomes available here. so you see, your argument is a little bit off for me. and fyi, that bunch of people already pile up to thousands of dislike. 82% gasp! not only you put anet reputation to shame you now also bashed the people who you yourself asked to give their vote too. it’s time to put the computer down and stay away from it forever. because this is just borderline obnoxious and trollish now.

I suggest we all ignore this person, do not argue with him, we can’t, and we all know WHY. so just move along. numbers don’t lie. he can defend it all he wants but at the end of the day, if anet still have some decency left in their HQ they should know what to do. if not, then, it’s a sad day for all of us here. we love the game, we hate how they manage it. i used to throw hundreds of $ each month (spread to 2 accounts) just to support this once a beautiful game. now, i won’t do it. it’s that simple.

But they aren’t the RIGHT metrics. If they were the right metrics they would agree with me, because my opinions aren’t opinions, they are facts. So there’s obviously something wrong with these metrics. The people who voted weren’t from the places I think they should be from, they didn’t have the right temperament, or background, or perspective, or any of the things that would have made them vote the correct way. Everything that disagrees with me is invalid.

Now I’m just going to sit here with my hands over my ears.

Vayne’s trying far too hard to prove what we already know. The general thrust of the forum hates the new leveling system, for whatever reason. He didn’t need a vote to prove that. So yeah, he’s spinning a wee bit.

That said, he’s not ENTIRELY wrong that elsewhere the response (outside of the initial revulsion) has been less venomous. I dunno if I’d call it balanced, but that certainly the most rabid hate (like usual) has been on the official forums.

If you look closely on it its just couple of people going back and forth anyways.
