Lurers/trainers
I agree this it’s pretty poor sportsmanship to train mobs on to a fellow player, but it certainly will help you to understand the concept of situational awareness! If you’ve always got an eye to what’s going on around you, you’ll not only improve your game play in general, but you’ll be able to short circuit these kinds of situations as a matter of course.

If someone does it repeatedly for hours then sure I could see that being considered harrassment.
But accidentally training people is bound to happen all the time from normal gameplay. If it happens to you just chalk it up to lesson learned and work on your situational awareness.
Yeah, I’ve had this happen, too. It’s annoying, but there are a few differences in GW2 that aren’t in most other MMOs.
1. There’s no sound to let you know you’re being aggro’d on.
2. If you run away from mobs, they will eventually leave you alone.
This happens to me a lot. I’ll be running along and stop to mine or cut down a tree and all of a sudden there’s a mob attacking me. If someone trains mobs on me and there are more than I can handle, if I start running, I can escape. This is quite an enjoyable mechanic, I gotta say. Because sometimes I don’t feel like dying. :|
Most of the time I laugh at watching somebody come up over a rise with a half dozen mobs chasing them. Cracks me up every time. Then I jump in and try to help them.
That happened to me yesterday. I was in a cave fighting a mob and Le Wild human run by followed by 6 mobs. As soon as they passed by me they aggroed my pet. Instead of running myself, i managed to kill’em all and i got 2 dyes as drops, hehe.
But yeah, if you die from it, not funny.
I am a guardian with exotic gear, so I can handle a lot, but its still annoying to do the work for other peoples. They could at least help you if aggro switches away from them to speed it up.
