A year ago, I thought that the Mad King Chest gives you a choice of 3 unique skins, and that each part will be revealed each year. I only found out some time ago, that the skin isn’t original, and it’s a choice of gauntlets yet again. So I was slightly dissappointed.

I’d like to ask developers – why these rewards? Aren’t they really easy to get? The jumping puzzle itself is fun (for some), yes, but why these particular rewards?
It just seems really random to me. Why not give us something unique like “Mad King’s Pony mini”?

It’s not like it matters. These skins are fairly easy to obtain in PvE. :I

I opened my chest, and discovered I already had all 3 in my wardrobe. pretty sure I got the armwraps last year… no idea where I got the other 2. I went with a recipe I didn’t get as a random drop.

i opened the chest and got no choice at all, i got a mask and a lame one at that……
be glad you had a choice, now i have a skin i’ll probably never use but is account bound…..sigh -_-

That’s not what we’re discussing here, friend. The chest you get for Mad King Says is different to a chest you get at the end of Clocktower jumping puzzle. Now that you mention it, though, it’s a bit funny that you get a nice skin for doing something so simple, and you get a choice of useless items for finishing a challenging jumping puzzle.

Yes, they are. You can get them from heart NPCs.

The puzzle is really fun, but I have to agree that the rewards were a bit disappointing. I already had all of the three skins and I think you can get the recipes from the trading post.

You can only open one chest a day.

Havn’t openen any of those since 2012.. never been possible for me.. (Those big chests , not the dropped chests right?)

i have seen cheap crap being nicer than that crap, also, the thread title states mad king chest……nothing clock tower mentioned in the entire title…

i have seen cheap crap being nicer than that crap, also, the thread title states mad king chest……nothing clock tower mentioned in the entire title…

blame Anet for that then, i checked and they called the actual mad king chest a magnificent chest…..see why i get confused?
