Malchor's leap
If its where i think it is, (near to a commune skill point), then yes, its completely insane up there. I regularly pull 3-4 mobs just to kill stuff more efficiently, but when up there, it seems i pull 3 veterans, a champion and 6 others without even trying, and they ALL have a knockdown/pull ability. Its crazy.

Haha, is this where an Ori node currently is? It’s a hell of a gauntlet up there.
I manage to get through there with my glass cannon Ele, though, so I don’t see it as too much of an issue.
you can do this entire zone with like one or two friends.
its an mmo.
and the greatest fun is finding 1-2 party members to do some content.
too many people and the game is zergfest boring, and alone, too difficult.
GW2 hit the sweet spot with 2-3 people partys.
They expected people to play in group.
I did try going there by myself, but decided it wouldn’t be a good idea. Instead I waited that my friend reach this map with his character and we went to get it together. Someone else was trying to get to the poi already when we got there so it made thing even easier.
You can ask in map chat if people want to cap Blighted arch skill and poi. You will most likely find people who are in the same situation as you and need more people to get to it.
I hated that zone til I got to the part where they explain its name. And then I went on and started hating the zone again.
To me it’s not the mobs. Maybe it’s cuz my 80s are guardian and ranger. Grab a buddy and the mobs aren’t bad, cept the temple fights. But the zone design, so much z-axis stuff, poor/lack of signals of what’s scalable. Just navigating is a bother. And travel never feels heroic or fun.
I sort of understand why people whine about those zones, and Malchor’s Leap certainly has a couple of areas that really are too rough.
But, the game tells you explicitly that it’s supposed to be done in groups. Orr was sort of designed as a raid area, not a solo explore area.
Watch out for those risen Acolytes, they’ll see you coming from a mile away.
You think you are out of aggro range and heading through a relatively clear spot and then…“what the heck is hitting me? Oh.”
I feel like Scooby and Shaggy going through Orr. “Scoob, let’s get out of here!”
My characters think I’m crazy.
