Medium armor chest piece's
90% of medium players most likely agree with you. Most medium armor fits none of their respective classes in style at all…especially not thief and ranger. Also engineers are shafted equally cause there are almost no parts at all that sorta scream out “yeap thats a thief armor” or “well thats certainly meant for ranger” and so on. But meanwhile we get stuff like the bandit sniper outfit onto the gem store… would make pretty darn cool medium armor right? Well…actually why do i even bother to complain…isnt like a-net gives a single care in this world what i (and the people who think like i do) think. Bladed and leystone armor is all you got with the x-pac, if you dont like them or those in vanilla gw2 then its though kitten… more then that you most likely wont get till the next x-pac… if there even will be a next one or you are still arround and care
Most female mediem armors look pretty bad, at least on an human. They look much better on plant people. I think the dye choice also makes a bad looking armour look good, I even managed to like full hunan t3 on my female thief after ages playing with different dyes, and adding a suitible back piece too.
I guess every 1 has different tastes but I agree. Most mediem armors look bad.

Yeah .. there is human T3, if you are human, and then there is Kryta Armor, that
however actually isn’t even in the shop anymore. And thats it more or less.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Yeah, the medium Leystone is truly hideous.
Actually looks better in that colourway than it does in some others.
How can anyone play a thief/engi/ranger and not love longcoats nor want to start a collection of 50 ugly longcoat skins?!

Sanity and a moderate sence of taste or desire to dress their char(s) to show that they use one of three really distinct ways to fight. Nature magic and traps. Poisons, knives and other shenanigans. And explosives, gadgets, weird potions and tools and other things that go boom. Couldnt be more different needs for armor designs there… yet its the armor class with the least creativity.
If you make your medium classes THAT distinct and different in design.. you should by default hand your visual artists a sticky note that says “dun make coats, make sneak suits for the sneeky breeky, comfortable leather armors for the walking petting zoo and stuff with toolbelts, pouches and other guff for the weirdo who coughes up explosives all day long.”
Logic 101…but what do i know..
The vast majority of medium chest armour is either ugly, trenchcoats or ugly trenchcoats. HoT switched up this trend by giving us an ugly trenchcoat with blades all over it, an ugly lumpy chest armour with a glowy particle effect and yet another trenchcoat.
Why do something different when you clearly have a formula?
its a matter of armour combo’s tbh. this is just 4 screen shots that i dug up that at least looks more of a thief armour set.

The two good looking, reasonably obtainable tops are Sneakthief and Illustrious, that’s all we got. (side note, I hate how capital "i"’s look just like "l"’s, what grammar natzi thought that one up?)
Agreed, the only medium chestpieces I can stand are t3 human & glorious, everything else is just so much buttflaps….
When will Anet understand that people like armors like heavy armageddon leggings, council heavy legs & t1 asura legs? Nobody except for female chars wants to wear a kitten skirt….unfortunately that’s 90% of armors in gw2. One thing (among many things) that the original Guild Wars got right is armor sets…
How ugly armor skins are or aren’t is entirely depending on personal tastes. I personally rather like many of the medium skins, though I have no problem with diversification of armor style.

Of course we all know the saying about stats on the internet.
