Tried to forge 3 Mews, 1 Dipole, 1 Obby and 1 Crystalline, and the forge wouldnt accept the obsidian shard. is the recipe different or is this a known issue?

try putting the things in in a different order, sometimes that helps

Worked for me about a week/week and a half ago so the recipe itself should be fine
