Was there another announcement or statement that implied that they might be released today?

The post above that keeps getting quoted here says that the next Ascended gear they release will include Carrion and Valkyrie. There is absolutely no implication of when that might be. Unless there was another statement that changes that anyone outraged and accusing people of lying here are of base, IMO.

Oh dear, it looks like it’s time to copy and paste an old post of mine, and try YET AGAIN … to get a response …

Ascended: Carrion and Valkyrie

Devs, both myself and large number of other people within the GW2 community would greatly appreciate some sort of Dev response to the question of whether or not Ascended Carrion and Valkyrie gear will be released.

The reason it’s important for some of us to know is, because If the answer is YES:

This would also allow a great number of your customers to proceed with their current builds without wasting any Laurels for different Ascended items that they never needed to get in the first place, because they now know that Carrion and Valkyrie are going to be released (as well as saving myself and others time in trying to re-invent our builds). So a simple “yes” (even without a fixed date or time-frame), would be hugely appreciated by a great number of your customers.

But even if the answer is NO (or “maybe”):

A simple no, or maybe (“maybe” as in, perhaps in the future, but not currently planned)would still be hugely appreciated, albeit, disappointing. Sure, a “No or Maybe” would no doubt result in a 150 post thread of QQ and over-the-top posturing by the usual folks … but so what. Because if there is no response at all, eventually that QQ thread will appear anyway, just a month or two months from now, and the QQ and ridiculous comments will only be that much greater. But if in fact it’s going to be a no, then you would be doing me a great favor in letting me know now, instead of later, thus allowing me to make the proper adjustments to my character build and current playstyle.

So Devs, please, give us a heads up on this issue, because I know you guys read these threads, or at the very least skim through them a bit.

It is neither. It just takes time to build these items and there is a huge amount of stuff on our list of things to do. We aren’t done adding stat combos. We will continue to add them as we have time to do so. With this batch, we wanted to even out the spread of primary stats and we already had a lot of stats with Power or Condition Damage as primary (more than any other, in fact), but I’ll be sure to get Valkyrie and Carrion into the next batch.

Oh my, he said the next “batch”, and not the next “patch” …..

Wow. March just hit and Carrion/Valkyrie are STILL not in the ascended gear. I think I’m beyond even getting upset about this every month now (how long has it been since ascended release? 5 months?)… This just doesn’t make any sense anymore. Why are they not in there?! the dev replied they would be implemented weeks ago :\ booooooo

I think we only represent a small portion of the population and so ANet just doesn’t care. That or they just want everyone in cookie cutter builds and this is their shady way of doing it

Out of curiosity where did they say that?

If we are at expanding the ascended stat combinations, I’d love to see that back items get some love too
