i am grinding deaths now, hold on

easy to get 100+ deaths per hour if you want to, but my deaths are all legit

4.8k hours played since headstart, mostly on ele and the bulk in PvE.
3716 deaths.

Well, between the 3/4 I checked last night, I was somewhere in the ~2k deaths (still have about 8 more to check, but they’re not used as much so might not increase the total that much).
I thing my total hours is around 2300something (out of all characters), since headstart.

4,272 Hours played.
15,348 Deaths!

Anyone can farm 5000 deaths per day if they want and know the correct spots, contest is basically worthless.
I found a spot when testing today where it takes around 20 hours per 5k deaths, when SAB comes back its even faster with infinite coin and tribulation.

If someone wants to farm deaths to win 50g, that’s up to them. In those 20 hours it takes to earn 5k deaths, I could easily make the 50g about 2 times over playing the game casually and without factoring in TP profits. :P

Yes thats why I am not doing it. It takes like 5 hours to farm 50g at most.

just to inform Wanze and others here. i could EASILY photoshop this and outdo everyone here on deaths. How? easy. I take two consecutive screenshots, one after CTRL-SHIFT+H, and one with the chat window up. i photoshop the chat window with the text i so desire (mimicked perfectly) and layer that over the screenshot of whatever environmental things are going on behind it. I could easily do this in 10-15 minutes. I’ve been a professional graphic designer now for 8 years. As i’ve stated that this is possible, i’m obviously not going to do this, nor compete in the contest, but i did want to alert you guys to the possibility of someone easily being able to do this. Risky competition given that someone could easily photoshop it fellas. Keep a sharp eye.

Exactly this. Screenshots are not anyway to confirm anything nowadays. Granted, I like the initiative with the idea, but it isn’t a very secure way to go.

On a side note, I wish ANet allowed to to see an overlay death map of your accounts deaths. I think it would be funny to see all the times I’ve fallen to my death right outside of the bank in LA.

I believe the purpose of this thread was based on honesty and good-natured competition, not hacks. Sure anyone could do that… so why be so dishonest about something that’s worth only 50g?
