Hahah, I just leveled a female Charr mesmer! Loads of fun doing the laser in CoE and baffling people.

Full CoF armor is boring. Regardless of class. Light and medium for some reason resemble rags.

For pvp, asura anything

Norn Warrior or Guardian
Asura Engineer
Sylvari Ranger
Charr Elementalist

Would have to be Human Warrior, especially if using a GS. 100B animation on Humans makes me feel a little sick.

Besides, it’s a fantasy game, why would you play something so real and generic like a Human?

Anything Norn and anything Asura is just horrible. Unless the Norn’s are female.

Humans are fascinating, the topics on this forum is proof of that.

I see many human female Thieves is the same tight armor set.

I’ve got 8 character slots, 1 for all professions. Got 7 characters of which 3 are max level. I don’t have a warrior.

I simply can’t stand the boring boring boring cliché of warriors. I swung a sword … hey I swung a sword again.

I play a human male mesmer.

Typically I find the most boring characters to be:

Any Human or Norn Female in skimpy armor (Usually done with medium or light armor). Seriously guys. Grow up!
Any Charr Heavy Armor class wearing Cathedral of Flames armor
Any Male Heavy Armor Norn (Sorry, I just see too many warriors and guardians)
Most medium armor male humans with trench-coats (there are other armor skins, like Vigil and Ascalonian Catacombs that look pretty good compared to the overabundance of trenchcoats)
Human Thief. This one makes me sad as my first level 80 was a human thief. When I noticed the overabundance of human thieves I grew bored of him.

The race/class types I would like to see more of are
Any Charr Female
Sylvari Necromancer
Charr Necromancer
Norn casters
Asura Anything (especially guardians or rangers)
Engineer anything

“Interesting” race/class combinations I would like to see less of
Charr and Norn mesmers

Dose anyone play a Norn Thief? I really haven’t seen one and I think it would be great.

I have to say that Human Guardian was a bit typical choice. Tier 3 cultural armor to start with. Though when ascended armor came out I mixed it up with the shoulders, gloves, and boots for a more unique look. I may update her when they come out with more faces. I was trying for a more Elonian descent look.

When I was first deciding who was going to be what when guild wars was about to come out I did want a Norn Guardian. Then all my friends had one so decided to make my Guardian the last of my characters. I knew I was starting Sylvari Warrior who was of day cycle which all made lore sense to me. I don’t find it boring.

Norn Engineer is probably my favorite combo.

Char Thief of Ash legion another lore choice.

I have a female Norn Thief and my friend has one too. It’s not my main but I think they are not that uncommon.

Personally I think any class combination with human and norn. If those are your favorite races that’s fine but personally I don’t care for playing them.

Talk about uninspiring. -.- I find Sylvari to be boring, they speak boring, their standing animations are boring, people tend to dye their armor and Sylvari all one color and some Sylvari faces get the cookie monster googly eyes going on.

Here are my characters:

Female Sylvari Mesmer
Male Asura Engineer
Female Norn Ranger
Male Charr Guardian

Do I win for unoriginality? Also, I don’t mix and match outfits.

Charr warrior (forgivable since I made him at pre-release) – dressed in vigil body armour, cof shoulders heavy fused gauntlets and glowing red eyes, looks beast
Sylvari thief – Guild long coat, inquest shoulders (looks funny cos they’re quite bulky for medium armour), cof gauntlets, masterwork boot skin that looks like cowboy boots. I change her armour colour to match the predominant colour of the landscape, glowy red eyes

Asura ranger – odd combo this one but definitely not a stereotypical engineer. Has a mix of skins but the mandatory glowy red eyes

human necro – aetherblade light armour cos it’s the only steam punk style that looks good but also carries a mixed armour set which is cabalist body armour with inquest leggins and acolyte boots with the, you guessed it, glowy red eyes, it’s quite a nice combo

oh and Norn guard with kodan leggings, phalanx shoulders and boots, phalanx gauntlets, heritage body armour and of course, glowy red eyes.

Did i mention that I like glowy red eyes?

Tallest charr male + thief/elementalist/mesmer
Especially heatseeker(skill 2) spamming thief ^^

I don’t really know what the most boring class/race combination would be, really. But I think I’ve found the most boring forum thread ever.

The toon I had the least fun with was my sylvari warrior. The warrior class is my second least favorite after leveling one of each class. I like the thief even less.

But my thief is Asura, and I liked the Asura story line at least. The sylvari story line was just not that interesting to me.

Hmm. After reading this, I wonder if there is anything that is not boring…

Well, to me the bleh comes from seeing clones of NPCs or characters from other games/cartoons usually with the name to match except with added accents.

The most ‘boring’ race/profession combination to me is Charr/Engineer/Iron Legion. Which is why I have one as a challenge to myself to make her interesting.

Any Norn male in T3 armor with Abyss/Celestial combo armor. Come on people, the black&white thing is absolutely overdone.

Any male human Thief in Abyss dyed gear with a hood or a mask over his mouth.

My favorite character is my Charr necro believe it or not. Made him small and wiry, like the runt of the litter that turned to the dark side to take revenge on all of his litter mates that made fun of him. I also made him a brother, typical Charr GS warrior, as big and fat as possible on purpose. I imagine them hating each other. I guess I RP when I character create lol.

I find boring those professions that do not match. The most fun are the ones that match better their lore.

What do I mean with this?
Look here , the Emissaries under “Services”.
The professions I think I match the most can be seen in their respective emissaries’ profession gear boxes, with a few exceptions.

I’m considering making one day the missing combinations seen there, ultimately making one male and one female of each armor class (which will also allow me to see all possible Personal Story combinations, including alternate level 1-30 quests). Probably after they add Tengu.

Charr scholars look kind of silly. I wonder if that’s on purpose.

I’ll probably make scholar charr eventually, though. Probably an elementalist, pick Euryale as a friend, and choose the personal storyline with the elementalist father.

You can never have too many elementalists.

I have one. I gave him the biggest build possible too. When he first saw it, one of my buddies said “that is the biggest thief I have ever seen.” Probably not ideal for WvW/PvP, but I suck at those anyway so it’s just for fun.

PvE:
-Human Female Light/Medium Profession,

-Human Male heavy,

-Asura Engineer/Thief/Mesmer/Elementalist/Necromancer

-Norn Guardian and slightly less Warrior. Count full t3 default Ranger female. Rest options remain unseen.

-Sylvari Ranger and Mesmer. Yet to see Sylvari Engineer

-Charr Warrior and Guardian. That’s it. Erase these two professions and Charrs will be less than 1% of population

PvP:

-Asuras

-Human Females

-Male Humans
-Norn Guardians

Boring race/class combo is all a matter of perception.
I find human anything to be boring. I’m human in real life!
I also find Norn to be boring, as well. Just bigger versions of humans.
I thoroughly enjoy Charr (have one as thief and one as necro) and Sylvari (have a guard here) anything. Asura is okay, but I feel like any caster class on them is boring and generic. So, obviously, I have a boring, generic level 10 Asura Ele.
