The Stonemouth Keep
Tarnished Coast
I see juggernauts having the capability to dual wield two handed weapons.
These are all class ideas I’ve so far seen asked about including a few of my own suggestions.// Samurai, Star Bender and Bard//
Death knight,
Juggernaut,
Samurai,
Monk,
Paragon,
Dervish,
Bard,
Star Bender (One who uses the celestial power of the cosmos)
There’s another thread somewhere (can’t find) with many many pages regarding new classes so I’m sure I missed a few.
Oh look, it’s this thread again. Well, on the bright side we know that GW2 keeps getting new players since the same threads keep popping up. We should make specific dev posts required reading before getting access to the forums (you know, the posts about all these dead horses being beat).
Not sure how discussing new class ideas constitutes being a new player but your attitude for sure isn’t new please find a cave to troll in somewhere.
i just gonna leave that here.. (dunno if somebody already did) Im not gonna say i know we get a new class.. but i wouldnt be surprised if we would get one..

I think I hit a nerve with that one. Someone thinks being a new player is a bad thing. You should show me your cave sometime. I’ll even help decorate.
It doesn’t change the fact that people love to beat those dead horses. I can’t say I blame them though, it’s just too hard to actually come up new, original ideas.

Sry but the caves are all full to fill have any more trolls.
New classes and weapons and races and mounts are being worked at for “Gem Wars 3” as we speak.
This thread is for discussing class’s not for critiquing if I’m mad. Forum administrators say the same spiel so please keep your thoughts on point. Thanks.

Critiquing IS discussing. It’s not like I’m calling for the OP to kill himself or anything. I’m just pointing out the obvious that this thread is reborn on a near daily basis and injecting my own humor into it. You can’t expect people to create post and never have any form of disagreement or the pointing out of the obvious. I’m all for new playable classes, but these threads just keep being recreated, so I respond accordingly.
Double Agent
Main ability: Able to take on the persona/guise/attributes of the enemy. A doppelganger effect. While in disguise can move with the enemy but only in the open field. Uses sleep agents, tracking bugs and poisons. If near enemy combatants enemy food/consumables are poisoned and would require an antidote. Weapon of choice, well that depends on what guise the agent adopts!
Note: Can never be as powerful as the persona he adopts as he has not trait lines to boost that persona’s skills.
Just keeping it fresh and since I missed the ritualist thought I’d re-post; I think it’s a good idea to keep these in a single list so when we go to look through these we can see every ones ideas on one post so we don’t have to sift through pages to see all the ideas pitched and also so we don’t have reoccurring class ideas. If I missed any or anyone wants to add to this list please feel free to copy / paste and add onto the list.
So far we have:
Death knight,
Juggernaut,
Samurai,
Monk,
Paragon,
Dervish,
Bard,
Star Bender (One who uses the celestial power of the cosmos)
Ritualist
Double Agent (One of doppelganger abilities)
Druid (With ability to shape shift and call upon the forces of nature similar to that of grawl as they summon totems to gives boons)
Dervish heavy
yeah I know but it was a Gw1 class that wasn’t entirely brought into Gw2
I think the dervish deserves a chance in Gw2
prayer magic is interesting but with the absence of the gods it could mean this would not longer work thus forcing the Dervish to adopt newer skills.. perhaps they could adopt the martial arts style of the Monk class and create a more advanced form of Dance combat with various weapons
Mysicism would be a welcome return too and I’d like to see what the devs would do with it in Gw2
and naturally Sythe weapons would have a reason to return
Bard or Skald Medium
A class based around music and empowering allies.. this I would love to see
using music magic would be something entirely new to Guildwars as a series
I think this would also be a good way to add some new instrument based weapons into the game.. most likely in the form of utility skill weapon packs like the enginee
Bard would be a great way to add new buffs to the game or specialize in conditions like confusion, torment or perhaps stuns
Chronomancer Light
This Gw1 concept never made it into the game unfortunately and I for one would love to see this class in Gw2
a Time mage.. you can’t get any more clear than that.. this is a class that focuses on time based magic and we have nothing like this in Gw1 or 2..
being able to slow down your opponants attacks, movement or flat out time freeze them for a while would be a great idea
I would love to see a mage class that specializes is the manipulation of time and possibly space as well.. teleport pull an enemy or a small group of allies to you anyone?
I think this is a concept class that definitely has a lot of potential in gw2 and I for one would love to finally see Chronomancer get some game time
those would be my choices for new classes

We don’t necessarily need a new class. It would be nice, sure – but it needn’t be so complex.
Simply giving each profession access to just one weapon they previously couldn’t use (and please don’t say rifle for Rangers – we want staff not a stoopid blunderbuss :P) would be enough to create a hell of a lot more build diversity and playstyles.
Additionally, giving traits their much-needed fixing and rearranging would make this even better.
Even better would be if the staff was a primary attack melee weapon
like a combat staff and would have a couple of AoE spirit spells on it or spirit runes
kind of like flame burst that would require close proximity to the ranger
narwhalsbend, in case you weren’t aware, Juggernaut is actually a class. In GW lore there are more than the “plant constructs” of the Kurzick, in fact, if you’ve spent any time in the old Six Gods temples in Orr, you probably have faced the Orrian Spectral Juggernauts. As a general idea, a Juggernaut as class is the ultimate tank – exceptional toughness/defense, very low attack. Or you could have participated to the “Destroy the Risen Juggernaut” event, where you have to defeat a Champion Risen Juggernaut. So no, it has absolutely no connection with “plant people”, it just happens that the Kurzick had built a Juggernaut-class construct.
