New Level up Interface
They are not giving us rewards. If someone gives you worthless things that is not reward. Its just salvage material that you dont need.
They should add real rewards, like gold.
The joke is .. it isn’t even salvageable. Now the next step would be to let us type
in the name of those items if we want to destroy them

try to say that after a long day’s work, stiff hands and then clicking your butt off to get a character to lvl 80, let’s see how long it takes till you cry like a baby because of the pain.
the idea of info is nice for new players but vets don’t give one single crap, they just want the character to lvl 80 and that’s it.
Are you saying that people have literally cried like a baby from the pain of all of the clicking, or are you saying it sarcastically, meaning you don’t think the clicking is a big deal.
I legitimately can’t tell if you honestly think the clicking to 80 is so bad it is physically painful or if you are being facetious.
Not cried like a baby, no. But all the unnecessary clicking in this game adds up and yes, it hurts. It hurts enough that I’ve had to take Tylenol in the past for hand pain because of clicking in this game, and now they’ve added more.
ANet may give it to you.
All the interface inefficiencies add up. Having one window was fine enough.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
the coming up window is interesting and I’m sure it’d be helpful for someone who doesn’t know what is coming up with their future levels.
I also found when I was using my level 20 scroll on a new character that I could just leave that “coming soon” window there and click to get the level rewards and then finally close that “coming soon” window once when I was done clicking thru the levels.
An option checkbox to [ ] Do not show this message again would be nice, but since I figured out I could ignore it til I was done accepting level rewards I guess it’s okay to be there for me.
As a compromise, they could leave the “coming soon” window and remove the “you sold this on the Trading Post, hit accept” and the “Zommoros rewards you with this, hit accept” because I already KNOW I sold or MF’d and don’t need to be told or made to hit accept. They could make those windows appear then fade out, remove the required accept.
ANet may give it to you.
I think that instead of trying to create meaningful rewards for 80 levels, they should just accept defeat and go back to a 20 level system like GW1. They probably can create meaningful new things each level for the 20 levels.

You know that you don’t need to click on the accept buttons in the TP or at
the Mystic Forge ? You can directly click the next stuff into the forge under
the accept window and forge again.
On the TP you can also click anywhere outside the sell window and it closes
without clicking OK .. or sell other stuff from your inventory ..

I didn’t know about the MF one. Ty. However the TP one, if you are clicking outside the sell window that’s still the extra click, it’s just in another spot. Since that big panel is covering up your items to sell, how do you sell something else? Does it go away when you click on something in your inventory?

I always sell with right clicking stuff in my inventory .. and in that case directly
the new sell window in the TP opens.

Have your joints never burnt? Have you never had a hand cramp? Were you born with a silver spoon? Do you just get your butler to do all 240 clicks in a row for you?
Interesting jump from me asking if he was being serious about extreme pain from clicking a mouse to me somehow having a butler?
My joints have burned, my hands have cramped, I was not born with a silver spoon, my butler only does half of my clicks.
I have not experienced any of the above from GW2 clicking, however.
Might I suggest a programmable keyboard or mouse where you can program a button to do 50 clicks?
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….

So now I need to buy expensive hardware to enjoy the game? I guess I missed the part of the game requirements that said “programmable hardware”.
Leveling goes so fast in this game— even without scrolls— I find the extra screen annoying, too. Could we have a compromise? On the first level-up screen, could we have a click bar for “Next level will give you…”, making the second screen optional. OR Attach the second pop-up screen to your XP bar, if you want to know what’s next, click there for a feature pop-up.
I am so glad I’m not the only one that felt this way about the additional windows.
- Waste of time clicking
- No one cares “what you unlock next”. I’d rather it be a surprise for all I care
- It’s bad enough having a laggy TP interface, no need for additional ones
- It was bad enough with the PREVIOUS addition implemented to levelling up via clicking, now it’s WORSE
- There is no way to opt out of the additional, useless window. There should be an option to make it toggle-able
- ANet clicking fetish confirmed
Man I wouldn’t be surprised if everytime we went to click something another pop up would ensue with “Are you sure?” Yes. “There is no going back, do you still wish to continue?” Yes. “You’re about to hit accept are you positive this is your decision?” Yes.
It’s simply too much.

Well, I checked it out and both ways require a minimum of 4 clicks to sell one item in the trading post. The only difference is where you place the click. So I’m still going to say that this game has an excessive number of clicks that altogether can cause hand pain.

FYI you can be banned for this (“botting”).

If you want to sell for direct price its 2 clicks :
1. rightclick on item → sell on TP (ok maybe that are already 2 for you)
2. click on sell
@main topic
i made a new character yesterday .. brought him near 60 with scroll, crafted 14 level
and played the last 7-8 level. The level up interface is really best to handle with
clicking always on the gem at the left side for the next level up reward instead of
closing the screen, when you level by scrolls.
What i personally found totally anoying was, that when playing in the world after
each teleport again and again there was a popup for the specialisations whenever
i had not all point spent.

I dont know why they even give you stuff during leveling. 99% of the things I get is junk or armour/weapons I cannot use. Almost everything I get is for another profession or weightclass :/

I rarely sale for direct price so I don’t think of that and truthfully don’t wish to do that as that’s leaving money on the table. It adds up to a fair amount. I almost always sell by matching lowest seller, and that’s 4 clicks. One click too many as they could remove the panel that just informed you that you sold something.

Adjusting prices of course need more clicking .. however that has nothing to do
with the confirmation button.
There is at the moment the real problem that the copper field often don’t gets
the focus when hovering over it and then you have to play around until you
finally can adjust the value.

I wasn’t talking about adjusting prices at all. I left that out completely as that’s a whole other conversation where ANet could improve their interface. I was only talking about the number of clicks needed to sell by matching the lowest seller and how they don’t need a panel you have to accept to tell you that you just sold something.
ANet may give it to you.

This whole post is just lol.
I mean seriously…one extra click per level (regardless of tomes or not).
This reminds me of another post where someone didn’t want to have to make sure if they wanted to salvage a rare item or not.
XD (Just ridiculous)
People seriously need to take the carrots out their kittens.
There are actual real issues with the game that affect more than just the lazy vets.
Let’s concentrate on those please and not fill up this forum with pointless posts.
I don’t think causing carpal tunnel is a joke. But if you insist on dismissing anets love affair with clicking then keep it to yourself.
