Just bought the game, its currently downloading – so i decided to do some research on professions before I begin my journey…

I came from the Diablo series, So naturally I was interested in the Guardian, because Paladin was one of my favorite classes. – is the guardian similar to paladin? also, are guardians good in PvP?

My second choice is Theif, looks powerful but seems to have a high skill cap due to the skill set.

My third choice is Ranger, because BOWS are kitten…

Any advice guys? any advice on servers? guilds?

I have mumble, vent, ts3, and Skype.

thanks in advance community!

Guardians are very much “holy warriors” so yes, Paladin.

I play guardian primarily for the same reasons you mentioned, pretty much a holy warrior. Guardians are excellent in PVP, at least right now. Northern Shiverpeaks is a pretty populated server. We aren’t a pvp guild primarily, but you’re welcome to try us out.

Thief IMO. There is a lot of flexibility, and a ton of utility. You also have to stay on your toes so it makes you a much better player overall than some of the other classes that don’t need to worry about damage avoidance, positioning and control as much.

The Guardian I just found to be boring and slow. Especially after playing 500 hours or so of a thief. They are just sort of EZ mode and it gets dull fast.
