Guys and girls, maybe someone can explain me why I can’t use the biggest norn female body model which I can see on many npc’s? Or maybe I am just blind, but my eyes can see the difference between waist and tights. There is my screenshots with npc and my character:

the question isnt “why” its “why isnt it possible”
its norn, warriors arent all thin n stuff and living in the cold a bigger mass would actually make alot of sense, too (even ignoring that they dont really care for the cold THAT much). same problem was with gw1 where the npc companions had a belly and you didnt have the option to.

The people who made the NPCs probably have more freedom in their dev kit to adjust their dimensions.

Well, that is real fail, that arenanet decided to create another body model only for npc’s if they could do it on player characters. Generally bad, that the arenanet created many body types when it was possible to create sliders. And now we have many clipping bugs with armors which can be fixed just in 5 minut, but even after one year no one fixed it. kitten , It makes no sense to write it all here, will go to suggestion thread.

Seriously though, we need more variety. But who knows, they just added more faces, maybe they will add more body types someday!

OP, i did that exact same comparison, with the exact same npc, back at launch.
I spent a while rerolling until i came to the conclusion that the npc females have an extra size option that is unavailable for players.
As it is, the largest size available has tragic clipping buttocks on almost every armor, including the cultural.
None of this makes me happy.
I have 2 chararacters with the shape and both go without leggings.
It would be nice of anet to fix these armors at long last,
and even nicer if we got the npc shape to play.
