Does changing the graphical settings in the Nvidia control panel actually affect the ingame graphics? I tried changing some of them around but I noticed no graphical difference.

I use GeForce Experience to Auto-Optimize GW2 and had no problem with it.

I never touch the Control Panel, except to ensure the “use game settings” options are all set. Only time I ever fiddle is for some older games which don’t provide for some AA options or other more esoteric settings that are only available by the Nvidia software.

GeForce exp does not set up your nvidia control panel afaik. Only the ingame settings. I don’t recommend using it unless you really dont’t know what each setting does.

For the control panel, I recommend having anisotropic filtering on ×16, texture quality on high quality and power management on maximum performance.

Turn off best texture filtering ingame. The nvidia texture filtering is better and will override gw2’s texture filter.

I recommend to use the ingame settings for best performance. For this game GeForce exp. mostly sets graphics lower than necessary. For The Witcher 3 however it makes the best choices. But not for GW2.
